What’s your current favorite technique? June 2019 issue

Dear users, dear authors,
Do you currently have a favorite technique?
Tell me about it. :-)

For me right now, it’s crocheting smaller projects, because that way I can quickly move from one spot to another into the cool shade. A big, heavy knitting project wouldn’t be right for me right now.

I’d also like to spend more time sewing, but the sewing machine is in the attic, right under the big skylight. We do have a blind that keeps the heat out, but overall it’s too warm up there. And my hands would be too sweaty for the fabric. So that’ll have to wait for cooler days. 

I alternate between knitting and crocheting.
I can’t decide on just one—so I do both.

Right now, I love knitting the most and am trying out a few new patterns. I’m really enjoying experimenting at the moment. I’m not sure yet how or where I’ll use it.

A book titled “Sewing with Jersey – Child’s Play” by Pauline Dohmen is currently on the Spiegel bestseller list in the Hobbies & Creativity category.
Will this spark a sewing trend—or even a jersey trend? Or has that trend been around for a long time already, and should we here in the forum jump on the jersey bandwagon too?

I think this jersey trend has been around for quite a while, and as far as I know, it’s also well represented in the sewing patterns here. The problem is probably more that this forum seems to be frequented mainly by crocheters and knitters, at least judging by the comments.

Yeah, I know.
That’s a shame, but maybe we can change that?
