Babies and kids especially need to be kept nice and warm in the winter. That’s not always easy, for example, when a child refuses to wear gloves or absolutely won’t wear a scarf.
That’s why, dear readers and authors, I’ve started this thread—so you can find or share the best and warmest patterns for babies and kids right here.
There’s also plenty of space in this thread for tips and sharing experiences on these topics.
Let’s get started.

@Authors
Please post two patterns each that fit the theme here. Don’t forget to include an image, a link, and at least four lines of text. Please also include all necessary information. Good luck!

Crochet a warm scarf in a great woven look for your dear little ones. Grab your favorite yarn and let's get started! The width and length of the scarf can be adjusted however you like. I explain the few things you need to keep in mind in detail.

Suitable for beginners.
The pattern looks complicated, but it isn't. :)

With the help of lots of pictures, I'll guide you step by step through creating the woven pattern.
If you like, you can add fringes at the end. The pattern includes two types of crocheted fringes, very popular for children's scarves. Of course, you can also leave the fringes off or attach completely "normal" ones.

Here is the pattern:

Have fun making it! :)

Just as chic as Mom! These baby booties are crocheted to look cute while still being comfortable to wear. They go great over a onesie, but they also look absolutely adorable paired with jeans or a skirt. The cuff can be opened with the buttons, making them easier to put on and take off. That way, baby won’t have cold little feet anymore.
You’ll need either pure wool or merino wool. Use a 2.0 mm crochet hook.

Boring baby shoes are a thing of the past! With these cowboy boots, your baby is guaranteed to have an eye-catching pair on their feet. Not everyone has shoes like these. Whether in neutral colors or something more vibrant, there are no limits to your imagination. They’re suitable for both boys and girls. That’s why they also make a lovely gift for a new baby if you don’t know the baby’s gender yet. They go well with jeans, but they also look great with a little skirt.
You’ll need merino wool, 2 buttons, a set of 3.0 mm double-pointed needles, and a 2.0 mm crochet hook.

Here are some beautiful baby boots in sizes 16/16 (0–6 months) through 22/23 (18–24 months)

These boots have a lovely contrast because they’re crocheted using two different colors: beige and white. I think these are also lovely neutral colors.

These shoes/boots are suitable for both boys and girls.
I’ve written the pattern in great detail so that even beginners can crochet these cute boots.

The boots fasten on the side with a button, making it super easy for little ones to slip them on and stay nice and warm.

And here’s the link to the pattern
: Crochet Pattern for Baby Boots up to Size 22/23

Little baby feet will be thrilled with them—and so will their moms.

Have fun!

These boots keep baby feet warm. They are suitable for boys and girls, and you can crochet them in your favorite colors. They have a cord closure on the side so they are easy to put on and take off.

A warm hat is a must. It’s equally suitable for boys and girls, and you can crochet it in colors that match the boots. If you’re still looking for a gift for the young mom, grab your hook. All you need is cotton yarn, a crochet hook, and possibly a button. You can also decorate the hat with a flower, a car, and so on. There are no limits to your imagination.

A headband is an ideal gift for any occasion. Whether for a man, a woman, or a child, with the right yarn, you can crochet one quickly while watching TV.

Perfect for beginners and those who want to make something beautiful quickly without much effort. Just 65 grams of yarn and 15 minutes, and a Christmas gift for your loved ones is ready.

With just one 150-gram skein of 6-ply sock yarn, you can knit this adorable set for your child—consisting of a pointed hat and a triangular shawl with a small lace detail. The yarn is made of 80% virgin wool and keeps your child pleasantly warm without overheating.

The hat is knitted using knit stitches and purl stitches. The shawl is also knitted using knit and purl stitches as well as yarn overs. It has a small crocheted border made of single crochet and double crochet stitches. You should already have basic knowledge and some needlework experience, as not every step is illustrated. And the best part for last... the pattern is free! I hope you enjoy working with this pattern and achieve beautiful results.

Warm regards from Ina

So let the cold days come :-((
And only the best for the littlest ones
Warm and at the same time beautiful is the crocheted MINE Owl Baby Jacket with two incredibly lifelike baby owls
The well-fitting and practical little jacket has a totally clever cut, because it consists of only two pieces! Yarn used: 100% pure baby merino wool; it doesn’t pill or scratch delicate baby skin.

A lovely, cozy poncho or cape for boys and girls
made from wonderful, soft yarn that’s a joy to work with
It’s one-size-fits-all for children in sizes 80 to 104. The poncho’s width is adjustable, so you can choose whether or not to wear a jacket underneath. The collar is also customizable. It’s especially cozy because I used plush yarn here. Don’t worry—it’s actually very easy to crochet with and shouldn’t be confused with teddy yarn. You can also make the cape for older children; you just need to make it longer. In terms of width, it also fits my daughter, who wears size 134—it’s just a bit too short for her. -> This isn’t part of the pattern, though -> but I still wanted to point out that it’s possible

Let me introduce you to my “Mädels No3” hat… a lovely, warm hat for winter that also keeps your ears nice and toasty. The hat can be crocheted in all sorts of colors, so you can match it to a jacket, for example. You can find the pattern here: [click here]

I also have the Monster-Scoodie in my shop for you. It keeps your neck—which is usually so sensitive—super warm, since it’s closed at the back. You’ll be able to weather even the biggest snowball fight. Click here for the pattern: [click here]
