Woven fabric

Dear users, dear designers,
what is woven fabric and what can you make with it?
Let me know.

Woven fabric refers to fabrics that are woven during production. They consist of
warp and weft threads, with the warp threads usually being slightly thicker than
the weft threads.
Typical woven fabrics include bouclé, for example, a loosely woven fabric often used for jackets. I once had a little jacket in the Coco Chanel style made from a fabric like that myself.

Well, I’ve learned something new again. Funny—I first read the word in its English form and thought it had something to do with the web... *grin*.

Monika, after you wrote that, I read it in English—you’re right, it’s easy to get confused :)
Unfortunately, sewing isn’t really my thing, so I don’t know anything about fabrics at all.

Woven fabric is fabric, not *software or hardware* :-)
but there’s also warp-knitted fabric and/or knitted fabric; there are major differences there too, but I guess that’ll be a new thread
