You’ll need an empty tin can, approx. 55 g of 3-ply yarn (50% cotton, 50% acrylic) - which is wound into 9-ply, and a 5 mm crochet hook to make this storage basket. The two-page PDF pattern is suitable for advanced crocheters. To the pattern: *click*

Crochet Pattern for the Rustico Basket

You can make this basket in all sorts of sizes and colors. We crochet with multiple strands of yarn at the same time, which helps us work quickly and creates an interesting interplay of colors. This makes every basket unique and one-of-a-kind. For example, if you have red decor in your home, you could incorporate one or more red strands—that way, the basket would look like it was made just for your home. No designer could have done it better.

The size is adjustable—whether very small or very large, anything is possible. The basket is very sturdy in any size because we weave a clothesline into the interior. Feel free to read through the 257 positive reviews from other buyers. You’re sure to get excited about this creative project.

You’ll find more photos, information, and the pattern when you click on the title.

I hope you have a lot of fun with this project—Yours, Ina

Crochet pattern for a basket with a lattice pattern

This basket can also be made in any size: very small for odds and ends, medium for the bathroom, or large for crafts. The basket has a sturdy bottom so it doesn’t sag. The thicker the yarn, the more rustic the basket looks. Very thin yarns result in more delicate baskets. Just take a look at my examples. To do so, simply click on the heading.

You could also make the basket square. You’ll find the pattern in my shop as well.

I hope you have lots of fun with your project and achieve beautiful results.
Best regards, Ina

2 Crochet Patterns for Little Odds-and-Ends Buckets

As my third recommendation for a lovely container that also repurposes everyday items, I’d like to introduce you to 2 little buckets. Here, I used 2 of those large yogurt buckets from the supermarket. You can put them to great use by “dressing” them up. I’m showing you two colorful versions. This is also a great way to use up leftover cotton yarn.

In the end, you’ll have two fantastic containers for pens and odds and ends that are perfect for a child’s room or a craft room. I have several of them on the shelf above my desk.

I hope you enjoy this project as well. Yours, Ina

The cute hippos are a great storage option with a cuddly factor!

There is an opening in the hippo’s back through which the 14x14 cm body (still stretchy) can be filled!
I originally designed the hippos as a heat pad cover for grain pillows, but they can be used in many ways. Store your jewelry or makeup, small gifts, vouchers... in it and let the cute hippo make you smile again and again :)

The crochet pattern is designed for ambitious beginners and consists of a detailed written section supported by many detailed photos. There is also the option to print the written section separately.

In my Shop you’ll find more animal-shaped heat pad covers (individually and also as value bundles), just take a look!

Whether it’s yarn, fruit, or breakfast rolls … there’s room for everything in this versatile crochet basket ♥

It’s extremely sturdy in shape even without wire or similar, and it also works up quite quickly with thick yarn (57 m per 50 g) and a 4.5 mm hook! With the materials listed, it will be about 19 x 19 cm in size.

The Leftover Muncher Gang is the perfect place to store pens, crochet hooks, sets of double-pointed needles, buttons, small bits of leftover yarn, and much more. You can leave them open at the top or close them—and then use them as gift packaging.

The best part: you can use all sorts of different leftover yarn for them. There are no limits to your imagination.

Great for beginners. Basic skills should be present.

Hidden inside this gnome house is a storage basket. For example, I keep some leftover yarn or skeins inside, and buttons and crochet hooks are tucked into the pocket at the front, which is disguised as a door.

It’s very easy to crochet if you’ve done it before.

There’s also the gnome family, which can serve as storage for many different small items. They can also be used as toys when the grandkids come to visit. Or as an Advent calendar. There really are no limits to your imagination here. Even easier to crochet than the gnome house. And just perfect for using up leftover yarn. The more colorful, the better

Note: All the pieces are also available together as a saver set.

This chocolate box is so stylish that it can also be given as a gift and used as a storage box—just leave out the inner compartments.

The box is made of photo cardstock and measures approximately 9.5 x 5.5 x 9.5 cm. It’s very easy to make and well-suited even for crafters with little experience.

Crocheted baskets are always handy for all sorts of small items.

This little basket stands out thanks to its beautiful pattern. The pattern is written in detail, and plenty of pictures illustrate each step. Depending on the yarn yardage, the basket will measure 20–23 cm.
