You can crochet original dish sponges using Rico’s Creative Bubble sponge yarn. “Sponge” isn’t really the right term, because these sponges are rather rough—like scouring pads—but without scratching. That’s why they’re great for removing burnt-on residue from pots as well as for use as exfoliating and massage sponges. The finished sponges can be easily washed in the washing machine at 60° and dry quickly. This keeps them hygienically clean at all times, and they’re sustainable and long-lasting.

In my shop, there are two dish sponges that are very easy and quick to crochet—you can even give them as good-luck charms:
