                 To the pattern

The pattern is knitted only with knit, purl, and slipped-over
stitches. It looks like a cable pattern
but it isn't one :-)

Size: 40/41 (42/43)

The poncho sweater made from soft cotton chenille yarn is my newest creation for May.

The knitting pattern is easy to make, as it is mainly knitted in stockinette stitch. The poncho section is worked in one piece; the sleeves and collar are then knitted on afterward. All steps are explained in a beginner-friendly way and supported by photo tutorials.

The poncho sweater can be made with any yarn up to needle size 6; it is suitable for lace and gradient yarn as well as for thicker yarns. You can decide for yourself whether to make it with or without a turtleneck. The sleeves can also be left out without any problem.

Many toddlers sleep in a sleeping bag at night. They’ll surely love it if their little doll or favorite stuffed animal (about 20 cm tall) is also tucked into a sleeping bag. That might just make them even more eager to go to bed.

Here you’ll find a set of 2 different patterns. One version has buttons and is for children ages 3 and up, and the other version has a drawstring closure without buttons for the very little ones.

The sleeping bag can easily be made larger—both in width and length—if the doll or stuffed animal is bigger.

Both sleeping bags are easy to knit, even for beginners who have knitted before. Very basic knowledge of crochet is also required.

Knitting pattern for a great cable-look scarf

This great pattern is knitted using only knit and purl stitches, so it’s also suitable for beginners. The pattern repeat spans 6 rows and is explained in writing, row by row, in the pattern. You’ll also find a knitting chart if you prefer to work from that.

I knitted my scarf using Patons Fairytale Baby Smiles Soft yarn (yardage 163 m). I used size 4.5 needles and used 200 grams of yarn.

You can find the pattern for the scarf here
