Dear users, dear authors,
it’s slowly getting to be time for the Mother’s Day designs. If you’d still like to make something by hand for it, you should get started. How about a colorful leftover yarn project, a bestseller, or one of the wonderful new arrivals for May?
I wish you a relaxing weekend and a great time crafting.

@Autoren,
2-3 patterns per author are enough. Don’t forget the link and image, as well as the usual information.

If my mom were still alive (she died 3 years ago at the age of 76), I would knit her a beautiful shawl. It would absolutely have to be made from “good yarn” and be versatile to wear. Mine here stands out because of its beautiful gradient that comes from the ball of yarn, its delicate wave pattern (which still consists of only 2 pattern rows), and the fine, warming virgin wool.

You can wear it elegantly with a dress or simply wrapped and knotted. The gradient yarn will always create new focal points. A lovely, timeless gift that is always just right and will bring joy for a long time.

The knitting pattern is also suitable for knitting beginners who have never knitted a lace shawl before, meaning thin yarn with thicker needles. I describe and show everything in great detail.

Click here for the knitting pattern: “Lace Shawl for Beginners”. I hope you enjoy this project - Your Ina

Lucky Spring is a simple knitted triangular shawl; the different stitch patterns are explained clearly and in detail, yet they still create a striking effect.

You’ll need 300g of yarn with a yardage of approximately 350m per 100g.
The size is achieved by continuously increasing on one side.

My mom (like many older people, I suppose) always had cold feet. That's why I knitted her lovely warm felted slippers. They keep your feet wonderfully warm. Your feet can never get too hot, because excess heat is simply released outward through the natural felt fiber.

And they don't pinch, since the white felted fabric adapts to every foot shape. Even possible foot deformities don't stand out here, and you can even insert your own insoles.

You can make the felted shoes with or without a roll collar in all colors and common sizes. To prevent slipping in the shoes, the sole is made non-slip. There are several ways to do this, which I describe in detail in the pattern. For more examples, information, and the pattern, just click on the blue text.

I hope you enjoy the pattern, and I hope your mothers enjoy this personal gift and have warm feet. Yours, Ina

My final gift idea would be a pretty basket. You can always use one to store this and that. This one is crocheted and has a double base. That makes it nice and sturdy so it doesn’t sag. You can crochet it in different sizes. Feel free to check out my examples. For more examples, information, and the pattern, just click here.

I hope you enjoy this crochet pattern. Ina

The large one for yarn...

The small one—maybe for the bathroom?

Do you have a mother who loves knitting socks? How about a truly unusual gift: a pattern that makes knitting socks even much easier?

She’s sure to love the super-simple mowi heel. And if you’d rather give her the finished socks (too), you can start right away. You can easily manage that by Mother’s Day ... and ideally a second pair for Father’s Day, too.

A very simple pattern that is easy for beginners to understand, too. Some knitting experience is recommended.

These fun little bugs are sure to delight your mother, because they’re an eye-catcher in the kitchen and a fantastic helper when things get hot.

What’s more, these potholders are quick and easy to crochet, provided you’ve crocheted before. You’ll definitely manage them by Mother’s Day.

"You shouldn’t thank your mother only on Mother’s Day." - Exactly! But you should also do it on this special day, don’t you think? It doesn’t always have to be a big gift, but every mother is sure to be happy about a little handmade something!
Lots of people like to give flowers.
This forget-me-not is a very personal gift with lots of symbolic meaning:

You can crochet this little flower child yourself with lots of love. It tells your mother that you will never forget her and her love, that you will always be her child, even if you have long since grown up, that you love her, and that this love will never wilt, staying fresh forever just like this little flower. Isn’t that a wonderful idea?
You can easily crochet the flower child from leftover yarn that you’re sure to have at home.
You can find the pattern here: Crochet a forget-me-not flower child.

A heart is also a lovely symbol of love. How about this heart with the two cute little bears?

This little heart can also be crocheted quickly and easily from leftover yarn you already have. It can hang as a door sign on a room door or be used as wall or window decor.
Would you like to crochet it? Then you can find the pattern here: Crochet a heart with little bears.

Or would you prefer something practical after all?

Practical and very decorative, this charming little beaded pouch can hold jewelry or small change, as well as makeup items or other little things. It is crocheted from just 15 g of fine cotton yarn. The beads are sewn on afterward at the end.
