Dear users, dear authors,
what has been your smallest or largest project so far?
Which project was the most important?
Tell me about it.

I think my most important project was sewing teddy bears during a hospital rehab stay. That’s when I rediscovered myself and, at the same time, my love for crafts. My smallest project after that was a crocheted carnation made from very thin crochet yarn, and my biggest? Well, there were several larger projects, like a few skirts or even two soul warmers—since I’m a real chubby elf, projects like that tend to turn out a bit bigger.

So my biggest project was my wedding.

For my mother, my maid of honor, and my mother-in-law, I sewed handkerchiefs and embroidered them with cross-stitch:

For all the female guests, there were handkerchief pouches:

Of course, there was also the matching ring pillow:

And because the chairs in the church were so ugly and I still had a month left, I made self-sewn and embroidered chair covers:

Smallest project—a crocheted decorative Easter egg.

Largest project so far—a long knitted coat, which unfortunately I no longer own.
My tablecloth, weighing about 1 kg (or 4,000 m of yarn), will probably be my largest project once it’s finished.

Oh, Sandra, those are truly beautiful handmade keepsakes for everyone involved! Something very special for this special celebration.

I can’t even name my smallest piece of handiwork—probably just some little doll accessories from my collections. But while scrolling on my computer, I did come across my most delicate piece. It’s a patterned stole made from wafer-thin cashmere yarn with a silk blend (25 g/300 meters).

My biggest project is a rug about 2.50 m in diameter that I knotted many, many years ago. Today, I couldn’t even imagine taking on such a large project.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend. I have the day off today and am enjoying it :-)
Warm regards from Ina

My smallest project... Good question... I’ve had sooo many mini projects.
Probably a little Easter egg or something like that.

My biggest project is my motif blanket, which I’ve been working on for almost 2 years now; it’s going to be about 2x2m, and sometimes I need to take a break from it for a few months.
I’m at 65% now.
Maybe I’ll finish it in this lifetime :D

My most important project... Phew... I don’t really have one. All the projects I work on are very important to me. Things I make for someone else are especially important to me. Everything has to be just right :)

Thanks for the pictures of your projects. I’m really impressed by the amazing and big things you’re creating.

The biggest project I’ve ever done was a bedspread for my daughter; the bedspread measures 3.20 m x 3.30 m.

The smallest project I ever did was making little 5-centimeter teddy bears.

Wow, I’m thrilled by what I’m seeing here! :) Especially the beautiful wedding handicrafts—they’re simply unbeatable.

My smallest project was actually not that long ago: the ear pads for my headphones.

My biggest project was probably my thick poncho. I was so glad when it was finally finished.

My favorite project… well, there are actually quite a few. I love knitting baby clothes the most—they’re all among my favorites.

My most important project… I can’t really name just one there either. All the projects commissioned by my family are important to me; I especially enjoy making those.

I finished my longest and most difficult crochet project two weeks ago.

My most time-consuming project—which I actually did twice—was making coats based on an English pattern with knitting charts.

My smallest project was the Cutie Hippos

My biggest project was my throw blanket

OK—then I’ll show you my “special” projects.

I haven’t had an exceptionally important one so far, though...

My funniest project was definitely these fir trees, which I crocheted here and there throughout last year. For example, I also crocheted them on vacation at the beach or while out and about in the car, and people came up to me about them more than once...
That led to some pretty funny conversations with strangers...

By the end, the whole thing looked quite forest-like at home...

They then turned into Christmas gifts for friends and family.

The project that was probably the smallest at first was this butterfly—but later it developed into a larger project, because an acquaintance who is very active in her congregation saw it and asked me whether I could make more of them for the church convention... so I used up lots of leftover yarn...

The most elaborate project—or rather the most drawn-out one—was this tunic; the yarn was very stubborn and took several attempts... but now I think the result is great.

The biggest and at the same time most urgent project so far was, a few years ago, the sofa blanket for my sister’s 60th birthday—she had seen the gray one at our place and fallen in love with it, so I really wanted to make one for her birthday too. Time was really tight, only about 2 weeks, and I hosted her celebration here at our place because she had had an accident about 4 months earlier and was still on crutches... I really had my hands full. But the work was worth it; she was absolutely thrilled.

My biggest crochet project so far has been this jacket here:

As for knitting, I’m currently working on a long sweater, which is my biggest knitting project so far—I’m almost done with the second sleeve! Then I just need to sew it together and knit the turtleneck… assuming I have enough yarn! =)
All my projects are equally important to me :)
