OK—then I’ll show you my “special” projects.
I haven’t had an exceptionally important one so far, though...
My funniest project was definitely these fir trees, which I crocheted here and there throughout last year. For example, I also crocheted them on vacation at the beach or while out and about in the car, and people came up to me about them more than once...
That led to some pretty funny conversations with strangers...
By the end, the whole thing looked quite forest-like at home...
They then turned into Christmas gifts for friends and family.
The project that was probably the smallest at first was this butterfly—but later it developed into a larger project, because an acquaintance who is very active in her congregation saw it and asked me whether I could make more of them for the church convention... so I used up lots of leftover yarn...
The most elaborate project—or rather the most drawn-out one—was this tunic; the yarn was very stubborn and took several attempts... but now I think the result is great.
The biggest and at the same time most urgent project so far was, a few years ago, the sofa blanket for my sister’s 60th birthday—she had seen the gray one at our place and fallen in love with it, so I really wanted to make one for her birthday too. Time was really tight, only about 2 weeks, and I hosted her celebration here at our place because she had had an accident about 4 months earlier and was still on crutches... I really had my hands full. But the work was worth it; she was absolutely thrilled.
