I don't understand a part of the crochet pattern

Hi.
I’m new to crocheting.
I’m currently crocheting a bear.
There’s one part of the pattern I don’t understand.
I have 12 stitches
and am supposed to increase them:
6x(1 single crochet in the next 2 stitches).
Maybe someone can help me out.
I just can’t figure it out.

You crochet one stitch, then double the next stitch (simply crochet two stitches into the same stitch). Repeat this 6 times. Always crochet one normally and double the next one.
