Help with a crochet pattern

Hello,  can someone help me with the following pattern:
Ch 6,  ch 2 (1st st),  skip 1 st,  4 dc,  6 dc in the last st.  Do not turn, but continue on the back side of the chains with 4 dc,  5 sc in the last ch,  end with 1 sl st in the 2nd ch. 

This will be the snout of a dragon.  So it needs to become round.  But I just can’t figure out what I’m supposed to do.

You make 6 ch + 2 turning ch, so 8 ch in total.
Into the 4th ch (counting from the hook), crochet 1 dc, and into each of the next 3 as well, so 4 dc in total.
Into the last ch of the chain, crochet 6 dc.

Now you have reached the end of the chain and need to continue crocheting along the underside of the chain (see arrow): 4 dc and 5 sc into the last ch. Crochet 1 sl st into the 2nd (turning) ch. Now you have crocheted 1 round.
