Sewing isn’t affected by the weather: Is that true?

Dear users, dear authors,
Is it true that people still sew even when temperatures are high, while crocheting and knitting tend to be less popular in the heat ? How does this apply to crafts and other handcrafting techniques?
Let me know and take a moment to think about something warm and cozy. :-)

When I have a sewing project in front of me, it really doesn’t matter how cold or warm it is outside. Right now I’m waiting for fabric, because I want to sew myself something chic for my youngest granddaughter’s White Sunday. I have the pants pattern in my stash; I’ll have to design the blouse pattern myself, because I don’t have a suitable pattern for that. I’ll also sew the blazer from an older pattern. I’m sewing my outfit so that I can wear it afterward too. 
I usually knit in the evening in front of the TV; unfortunately I can’t crochet anymore, the arthritis in my right thumb won’t allow it anymore.

Yes, sewing is independent of the weather. You sew whatever suits the season. 

It’s the same for me with crafts: I make things that fit the season. For example, Easter = Easter decorations. I tend to do crafts with my grandson when the weather is bad, just to pass the time.

My concrete casting is more of a summer activity, or rather something for warm, dry weather, since I do it outdoors.

But I have to admit that I crochet and knit all year round. The temperatures don’t bother me; in summer I just use summer yarns.
