This wrap is made with 1000m of fingering weight/4 ply yarn and a 3.5mm hook. It is worked continuously (unless you want to create stripes).
The pattern includes written instructions and a hand drawn chart. I have explained how to adapt it to your tension and the yardage of your yarn. You can use a slightly smaller cake or a much bigger one. Fingering weight yarn is recommended, but it should work with a slightly thicker yarn if you follow the weighing method described in the pattern.
I would rate it as intermediate.
To make a striped version, change colours on rows 10, 22, 31, 42.
