Rnd 6: *sc in each of next 4 sts, inc* (36 sts).
Rnd 7-9: sc in each of next 36 sts.
Rnd 10: *dec, sc in each of next 4 sts* (30 sts).
Rnd 11: sc in each of next 30 sts.
Rnd 12: *dec, sc in each of next 3 sts* (24 sts).
Rnd 13: *dec, sc in each of next 2 sts* (18 sts).

2 tips of the claw:

Cast off. Second tip don´t cast off.
Rnd 5: crochet one Rnd over both tips of the claw(24M)

Rnd 8: *dec, sc in each of next 2 sts* (9 sts).
Rnd 9-11: sc in each of next 9 sts.
Cast off leaving a long tail for sewing.

Rnd 2: *dec, sc in next st* (9 sts).
Rnd 3: *dec, sc in each of next 2 sts* (12 sts).
If I Follow the pattern for row 2 I only end up with 5st not 9st. At first I thought it might be a typo so I inc instead of Dec - which got me the right number of st but looked far too round and not pointy like your version.
Any help/ explanation would be most appreciate! Thanks
