Schachenmayr Catania 50 g/137 yds, Sport Yarn, 5ply, crochet hook 4 mm.

St= stitch
Dc= double crochet
Sl st = slip stitch
Rnd=Round
INSTRUCTIONS
I don´t join rounds with the help of slip stitch but crochet in a circle.
Crochet with two strand of yarn.
BASKET
Chain 16 sts.
Rnd 1: dc into 4nd ch from hook and into each of next 11 sts, 6 dc in next st, working in other side of foundation ch: dc in each of next 11 sts, 4 dc in next st, sl st.
Rnd 2: ch3, 2dc in next st, dc in each of next 11 sts, 2dc in each of next 6 sts, dc in each of next 11 sts, 2dc in each of next 4 sts, dc in next st.
Rnd 3: ch3, 2dc in next st, dc in each of next 12 sts, *2dc in next st, dc in next st* 6 times, dc in each of next 11 sts, *2dc in next st, dc ine next st* 4 times, 2dc in next st, sl st.
Change the colour.
Rnd 4 (working in the back loop): dc in each of next st around.
Change the colour.
Rnd 5: *dc in next st, popcorn stitch in next st*
Popcorn Stitch:
4 dc in next st, drop the loop from the hook, insert the hook into first st from four dc´s,
grab the dropped loop and pool it through the st.
Rnd 6-8: dc in each of next st. Turn the work.
Change the colour.
Rnd 9 (working in the back loop): dc in each of next st around. Cast off.
HANDLE
Chain 50 sts. Dc in each of next st. Cast off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
FINISHING
Sew handle to the basket.
