TIPS
- Do not join rounds, work in a continuous spiral.
- Use a stitch marker or piece of yarn to keep track of the last stitch in each round
- All stitches are worked into both loops, unless stated otherwise in the pattern.
- When filling with polyester stuffing, pull apart each large chunk into many smaller chunks. This ensures an even distribution of firmness within the amigurumi
- Booties can be made in any desired colors.
- For pieces worked in continuous rounds, a stitch marker is used to mark the first stitch of the round and is moved up in each consecutive round.
Seamless way of changing color when working in the round
Pick up the new color at the end of the round: inset your hook into the stitch, yarn over the new color and pull through the stitch and the loop on your hook to complete the stitch.
Invisible Finish/Join:
Finish off leaving a long tail. Thread the tail onto a tapestry needle. Place the tapestry needle through the top of the second stitch from front to back and pull through. Place the tip of the needle into top of the last stitch of the round, under the back loop of the stitch, and pull through to the back of the work. Weave in the end.
Back Post Single Crochet:
Starting from the back of the work, insert the hook from back to front, continue across the post, and insert the hook from front to back, yarn over, draw the yarn forward, around the post, and through to the back of the work, yarn over and draw the yarn through the two loops on the hook.
