Required material:

Crochet hook:   NS 4 mm (or a needle according to your chosen wool)

Yarn:   Chenille yarn in the color of your choice (100 g/100-120 m)
            Cotton yarn leftovers in Black, White (to embroider eyeliner, eyebrows and eye whites) and Pink
            (for the cheeks) (50 g/125 m)

Eyes:  safety eyes 10 mm                      

Additional: scissors, a sewing needle, filling, stitch markers

PATTERN:

The size of the finished spider with the specified materials is approx. 8 cm.
Soey is crocheted from bottom to top in spiral rounds.

Body:

1. Rnd: 2 ch, into the first ch: 6 sc        (6)

5. Rnd: In this round the legs are crocheted.
Crochet the whole round into the FLO: 2 sc, (into 1 st: {1 slst, 6 ch, from the 2nd ch from the needle:
5 slst}, 1 slst into the next st) x4, 5 sc, (into 1 st: {1 slst, 6 ch, from the 2nd ch from the needle: 5 slst},

Insert the safety eyes between rounds 7 and 8, leaving two visible st between them. Stuff firmly as you go.

Cut the thread, pull it through the FLO of the last 6 stitches, pull tight (to close the hole), knot and sew.

Finish:

Using black yarn, embroider your spider's eyebrows (1 round above the eyes, 1 stitch long) and eyeliner. Using white yarn, embroider the whites of the eyes along the outside of the eyes. Using pink yarn, you can add little cheeks to Soey (2-3 repeats).
