The kind and funny foxy crochet

The kind and funny foxy finds a friend, it will be a good gift both for grownups and for the children.

The size of the fox is 24 cm if using the pointed materials.

You will need the following materials:

• The yarn 25g- 140m.
• The hook 1,5 mm. 
• Plastic eyes 10mm in diameter. Felt, eyelashes.
• Stuffing
• The wire 2mm ca. approx. 1m. (the using is on your discretion)
• The glue
• The needle
• Pastel crayons for tinting

      Abbreviations:

• sc – single crochet
• ch – chain
• inc. – increase, crochet 2 sc in 1 stitch
• dec. – decrease, crochet 2 sc together
• 3 sc in 1 – crochet 3 sc in 1 stitch of the previous row

1. All details are crocheted in spiral rounds. This means that the round will NOT be finished with a
slst.
2. Use a stitch marker. A small thread (other colour then your working yarn) helps you counting the
rounds. Just place it at the start of a round on top of your working thread.

Marker and shift stitch.

To follow the beginning of the row I use a contrast thread as the marker while crocheting the toys and dolls.

While crocheting in the spiral rows, the beginning of the row is shifted to the right. For example, photo number 1. The alignment of the marker is necessary so that the proportions of the toy remain symmetrical, the increases and decreases remain in their place. To do this, every 2-3 rows (depending on the thread and your gauge), crochet 1 more sc at the end of the row. Please note that we do not make the additional increases, but only move the marker so that it runs straight. It turns out that the first stitch of the next row becomes the last in the crocheted row. And the second stitch of the next row becomes the first one for this row. The shift stitch is not included in the total stitch count.

Sew the opening at the mouth from the wrong side. When stuffing the head squeeze the mouth, it should be without stuffing. Do not stuff the nose so densely, it should be a little bit wrinkled.

Pass to the tightening of the eyes.

In the 24 row find the markers for the eyes tightening.

Insert the needle near the first marker in the 24 row and take it out near the second marker at the other side. Count out 4 rows up, insert the needle and take out back to the first marker to the other side. But also 4 rows upper than the marker 1 is. Tighten the threads, make the knots, weave in all ends.

Cut out an oval from the felt, glue it, on it sew the eyes and eyelashes.

Then crochet the chain 9 ch, it will be an eyelid, sew it.

After the eyelid is sewn you can add the eyelashes to the bottom part of the eye.

Form the mouth by stitches, inserting the needle along the edge.

Insert the wire, winded with the adhesive plaster, in the neck and body, put the head on it and sew the head to the body.

Sew the ears having stepped 9 rows from the eyes to the nape.

For the tinting take the brush and the pastel crayon, draw with the crayon on the paper and collect the granules with the brush.

Tint the nose, the mouth, the ears and the places around the eyes. Sew the legs to the body between the 6th and the 7th rows of the body, sew the hands to the body between the 36th and the 37th rows of the body. Comb the fox.
