Decorative cover for eggs « bear in a sweater ». 2 in 1 - crochet + knitting

A white and fluffy bear for a fun breakfast. Will warm up your breakfast and cheer you up. I created it in two variants for your choice. Who prefers crochet or knitting.

Materials:

– Alize forever 50 g /280 m

– some red and black thread of your choice

– crochet hook 3

– needle for sewing, scissors, fiberfill

Abbreviations:

ch – chain

sc – single crochet

inc – increase

dec – decrease, two single crochets together

dc – double crochet

Base/body part (white color)

1. 28 ch in the ring

2, 3. 10 sc , 14 dc , 4 sc  = 28 sc

Color change (I have a melange)

4 – 7. 10 sc , 14 dc , 4 sc  = 28 sc

8. 1 dec , 5 sc , 1 dec , 21 sc  = 26 sc

Color change (solid color)

9. 1 dec , 21 sc , 1 dec , 1 sc   =24 sc

10. 24 sc

Color change (white)

11. 1 dec , 20 sc , 1 dec  = 22 sc

12. 3 dec , 14 sc , 1 dec  = 18 sc

13. (1 dec , 1 sc ) х 6 = 12 sc

14. 6 dec  = 6 sc

Bind off. To cut off a thread.

If you'll be using a different yarn, make sure it's the right size for the egg.

Head (in white)

1. On the 12th row of the body, gather 12 loops to start knitting the head.

Please note, the place where the thread is attached is shown in the photo. So that all the loops are in the right place for shaping.

3. 3 sc , 1 inc , 1 sc , 1 inc , 1 sc , 1 inc , 4 sc  = 15 sc

4. 3 sc , 8 dc , 4 sc  = 15

5. 2 sc , 6 dec , 1 sc  = 9 sc

To add a little fiberfill.

Bind off. To cut off a thread.

Ears (2 pcs, white color)

Crochet 6 sc in a ring

Bind off. To cut off a thread. To leave the small end of thread for further operation. Tie the two ends together in an arc shape.

Hands (2 pcs)

5 ch (solid color)

1, 2. 4 sc , ch, turn

3 – 8. 4 sc , ch, turn (melange color)

9, 10. 4 sc , ch, turn  (white)

11. 2 dec  = 2 sc

12. 1 dec

Bind off. To cut off a thread.

Sew the arms along the color line.

Sew on the ears.

Embroider the eyes with black thread. Make 5-6 wraps around the needle as shown. See the photo.

You can add a heart letter to his hands.

1 – 7. 7 sc , ch, turn

Bind off. To cut off a thread. To leave the small end of thread for further operation.

Embroider a heart with red thread.

Sew to the bear's paws to hold the letter firmly.

Cast off, cut the thread and fasten.   

Now we will assemble the bear parts.

Sew the paws on the color line.

Sew the head to the torso (see photo).

Embroider the eyes with black thread. Make 5-6 wraps around the needle as shown. See the photo.

Sew on the ears, creating an arch shape.

You can add a heart letter to his hands.
