Easter pendant

Materials:

Yarn of the same thickness for your choice (acrylic or cotton). Please note that the base of the pendant requires yarn 2 times thicker than the rest of the yarn. I used acrylic yarn, 420 m/100 g. For the basis of the pendant, I used yarn in two additions!

Colors: pink or purple, white, brown, orange, green, yellow.

- A crochet hook, I have 1,5 mm crochet hook

- A sewing needle, matching sewing threads

- Hollow fibre for stuffing

- For eyes: 2 beads or half-beads, I used 6mm diam half-beads

- A few threads for embroidery

- Ready made nose or piece of felt

- Suitable means for tinting (pink). I used a watercolor pencil (optional)

- A piece of thick cardboard

Abbreviations:

ch – chain

sl st – slip stitch

sc – single crochet

hdc – half double crochet

inc – increase (2 sc in 1 st)

dec – decrease (single crochet two stitches together)

Cut an oval form a thick cardboard according to the size of the resulting part.

27 row. crochet the embossed edge: (skip 1 loop, 4 hdc in 1 loop, skip 1 loop, 1 sl st)*16 times, work 30 ch (this is a loop for hanging on a hook), 1 sl st, skip 1 loop, 4 hdc in 1 loop, skip 1 loop, 1 sl st.

Fasten off, cut off.

Glue cardboard on the back – for durability (optional).

Basket

Crochet with brown colour yarn.

Work 21 ch

1 row. starting from 2nd ch from hook: 20 sc, 1 ch, turn (20)

2 row. (4 sc, inc)х 4 times, 1 ch, turn (24)

3-4 row. 24 sc, 1 ch, turn (24)

Fasten off, cut off.

Attach the basket to the base, fix it with pins. Sew it on.

Chamomile

Work with white colour yarn.

1 row. work 6 ch, starting from 3rd ch from hook: 3 hdc, 1 sc (4)

It turned out a petal. Crochet 6-7 of these petals.

Join in 1st and the last loops with the sl st. Cut off yarn, leave a tail for sewing. Slightly pull the middle.

Middle of the flower

Work with yellow colour yarn.

1 row. 6 hdc in Magic Ring, join into a ring with a sl st.

Cut off yarn, leave a tail for sewing. The wrong side here is the front, because the most convex.

Sew yellow middles to flowers.

Decorate the pendant with chamomile.

Carrot

Crochet with orange colour yarn. Stuff as you go.

Assembly and Decoration

Pin the ears, sew them on.

Find the points for sculpting. See the photo for guidance.

To sculpt the eyes: take some strong sewing thread and fasten it below in point 6, take the needle out in point 2. Insert the needle in point 1 and back in point 5. Sculpt the second eye. Points 5-3-4-6.

Form the muzzle in the same way between Points  A-B.

Embroider a black line on the muzzle as shown.

Attach the eyes, do not glue yet. First, embroider the eyelashes with a black thread. See the photo for guidance. Point 1 is the middle of the eye socket. From point 1 to point 2 and back, then from point 1 to point 3 and back. Glue the eye in the middle. The second eye should be decorated similarly.

Embroider eyebrows.

Cut the nose out of felt and glue it on. You can embroider a nose or glue a ready nose.

Tint the cheeks, inside the ears with pink dry soft pastels. I used a watercolor pencil.

Embroider the fingers with black colour yarn.

Place the bunny and carrot in the basket. Fix them. The Easter pendant is complete!
