Crochet Pattern for Flower and Leaf

MATERIALS

Schachenmayr Catania 50 g/137 yds, Sport Yarn, 5ply crochet hook C.

ABBREVIATIONS

Ch =chain
St= stitch

Sc=single crochet

Sc2tog = single crochet 2 stitches together

Hdc= half double crochet
Dc= double crochet

Tc= triple crochet
Dc2tog = double crochet 2 stitches together

scfp=single crochet front post

Sl st = slip stitch

Rep = repeat

Rnd=Round

INSTRUCTIONS

FLOWER

Rnd 1: Chain 5 stitches joined with sl st. Into the middle of ch5: ch 3, 19 dc, sl st to top of ch3.

Rnd 2: *ch1, sc in the same st as ch, hdc and dc in next st, 3 tc in next st, dc, hdc and sc in next st, sl st in next st*,

repeat from* to* 5 times.

Rnd 3: *ch1, sc in next st, hdc in next st, 2 dc in each of next 2 sts, 5 tc in next st, 2 dc in each of next 2 sts, hdc in next st, sl st in each of next 2 sts*,

repeat from* to* 5 times.

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing flower to hat.

LEAF with VINE

Row 1: Chain 14 stitches. Sc in second stitch from hook and each of next 11 sts, 6 sc in next st, working on another side of chain - sc in each of next 11 sts, turn.

Row 2: ch 1, sc in each of next 12 sts, 2 sc in each of next 3 sts, sc in each of next 11 sts, turn.

Row 3: ch 1, sc in each of next 12 sts, 2 sc in next st, sc in next st, 2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 11 sts, turn.

Row 4: ch 1, sc in each of next 11 sts, 2 sc in each of next 3 sts, sc in each of next 11 sts, ch 4, turn.

Row 5: sc in second ch from hook and each of next 6 sts, sl st, turn.

Row 6: ch 1, sc in each of next 8 sts, ch 4, turn.

Row 7: sc in second ch from hook and each of next 10 sts, sl st, turn.
