Crocheted Christmas Cake

Materials:
Yarn, (acrylic or cotton) of your choice. I used cotton yarn, 425 m/100 g. My cake is 6.5 cm x 5 cm in size
Colors - brown, white, green, red
A crochet hook, I have 1,25 mm crochet hook 
Hollow fibre for stuffing
A sewing needle, matching sewing threads
A piece of thick cardboard 

Abbreviations:
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in 1 st)
dec – decrease (single crochet two stitches together)
(...) x N times – repeat instructions in brackets N times

Cake
Crochet with brown yarn.

Cut a cardboard circle the same size.

Put the cardboard detail inside. Stuff as you go.

Join in white yarn to the loops of the 13th round.

Work with white colour yarn.

Bind off, cut off any excess yarn.
Attach and sew on the glaze.

Berries (make 3)
Work with red colour yarn

3-4) 12 sc

Add some hollow fibre. Pull off the loops. Cut the thread, hide the end.

Holly leaves (make 3)
Work with green colour yarn.
1) 8 ch, starting from 2nd ch from hook: 6 sc, 3 sc in the last stitch, continue along the other side of chain: 6 sc (15)

2) 2 ch, 2 sl st, 2 sc, next, crochet a clove: 2 ch, starting from 2nd ch from hook: 1sc, continue along the main loops: 2 sc,

Bind off, cut off.

Sew on the leaves. Sew berries on top.
