cotton yarn in different colors, crochet hook 3mm or whichever is appropriate for the yarn.

St= stitch
Sc=single crochet
Dc= double crochet

Chain as many stitches as you need to reach the desired width of the afghan (ca 100 cm).

R 1: dc into the 4th ch from hook, *ch1, skip next st, dc in the next st*.
R 2: ch1, 1 sc into ch-1 space, *ch1, skip next dc, sc into the next ch-1 space*.
R 3: ch4 (= 1dc and 1ch), dc into ch-1 space, *ch1, skip the next sc, dc into the next ch-1 space*.
Repeat the rows 2-3 until afghan reaches the desired size. Cast off.
All around the afghan crochet one Rnd in sc. Weave in all ends.
Cut the yarn twice as long as the length you want. Put the hook through the loop where you want the hair, grab a strand of your yarn and pull it through. Grab the end of the yarn and pull that through the loop.
