Rainbow Heart

Materials:
- Same thickness yarn of these colors: red, orange, yellow, green, light blue, blue, purple.
Depending on the thickness of yarn its consumption and a finished heart size may differ. I have a big heart 6cm x 7cm, a small one – 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm. I used cotton yarn, 425 m/100 g.
- A crochet hook, I have 1,25 mm crochet hook
- Hollow fibre for stuffing
- Brooch base (fastener) (optional)

Abbreviations:
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
hdc – half double crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in 1 st)
(...) x N times – repeat instructions in brackets N times

Heart (make 2)

Start with red colour yarn.
1) In a Magic Ring: 7 sc, 1 sl st (8)
2) 1 sc, inc, 1 sc, in 1 loop: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, 1 sc, inc, 1 sc, (leave the last stitch unworked), turn (11)

Change to orange colour yarn
3) 1 ch, 1 sc, 2 inc, 2 sc, in 1 loop: 1 sc, 1 hdc, 1 sc, continue: 2 sc, 2 inc, 1 sc, turn (17)

Change to yellow colour yarn

Do not turn! Make 20 sc from A to B.

Fasten and cut off thread of Part 1, do not cut thread of Part 2! 
Join both parts together. 
15) work 63 sc hooking through both parts. Stuff lightly as you go.

The little heart  is made using the same pattern, see rounds 1-7. Change colour in every round.

To make a brooch just attach a brooch fastener/pin, to make a key ring or a bag charm just make a loop.
