Sloth brooch

Materials:

– alize lanagod 100 gr /800 m, alize angofa gold 100 gr /550 m  or any alternative type fluffy yarn or mohair

– alize miss 50 gr /280 m, yarnart violet 50 gr /282 m

– 1,25 mm crochet hook

– a sewing needle, a pair of scissors, hollow fiber stuffing, glue, 2 small half-beads for the eyes,  blank brooch base tray/ safety pin

ch – chain

sc – single crochet

inc – increase

dec - decrease, two single crochets together

hdc – half double crochet

dc – double crochet

Body

1. Crochet 6 sc in a ring

2. 6 inc = 12 sc

3. (inc, 1 sc) х 6 = 18 sc

4. (inc, 2 sc) х 6 = 24 sc

5. (inc, 3 sc) х 6 = 30 sc

6 – 27. 30 sc

28. (dec, 3 sc) х 6 = 24 sc

29. (dec, 2 sc) х 6 = 18 sc

30 – 32. 18 sc

33. (inc, 2 sc) х 6 = 24 sc

34. (inc, 3 sc) х 6 = 30 sc

35 – 40. 30 sc

To add a little fiberfill.

Bind off. Leave a small piece of thread for further sewing.

Sew on your paws as shown in the photo.

Face (beige color)

1. Crochet 6 sc in a ring

2. 6 inc = 12 sc

3. (inc, 1 sc) х 6 = 18 sc

4. incomplete row  1 sc, 1 hdc, 6 dc, 1 hdc, 1 sc

Bind off. Leave a small piece of thread for further sewing.

Nose (brown color)

1. Crochet 6 sc in a ring

2. 6 sc

3. (1 sc, 1 inc) х 3 = 9 sc

Bind off. Leave a small piece of thread for further sewing.

Sew the face and nose as shown in the photo.

Glue your eyes. Make eyebrows.

You may brush the to make them fluffier.

Sew to the base of the brown thread, imitating the claws of a sloth.

Bamboo branch

1. Crochet 6 sc in a ring (green)

2 – 8. 6 sc

9, 10. Dark green 6 sc

11 – 17. green 6 sc

18, 19. Dark green 6 sc

20 – 23. green 6 sc

Bind off. To cut off a thread.

Leaves (3 pieces)

Ch 8.

1. Starting from 2nd ch from the hook, crochet 7 sc , picot 3 ch,  7 sc

Bind off. Leave a small piece of thread for further sewing.

Sew the leaves to the branch.

Attach and sew your branch to the brooch base.

Your brooch is ready.
