Organizer "Snail"

Materials

– YarnArt Jeans 50gr /160m brown, white, green colours

– 1,5mm crochet hook

– a needle for sewing, a pair of scissors, hollow fiber filling, 2 small beads or half-beads for the eyes, 0,8mm gauge and 20cm (approx 7,87in) long wire segment,  adhesive Backed Hoop & Loop tape 50cm (approx 19,68 in) long.

Abbreviations:

ch – chain

sc – single crochet

inc – increase

Outer circle (2 pieces) - brown colour

1. Crochet 6 sc in a magic ring

2. 6 inc  = 12 sc

3. (1 sc, 1 inc ) х 6 = 18 sc

4. (2 sc, 1 inc ) х 6 = 24 sc

5. (3 sc, 1 inc ) х 6 = 30 sc

6. (4 sc, 1 inc ) х 6 = 36 sc

7. (5 sc, 1 inc ) х 6 = 42 sc

8. (6 sc, 1 inc ) х 6 = 48 sc

9. (7 sc, 1 inc ) х 6 = 54 sc

10. (8 sc, 1 inc ) х 6 = 60 sc

3. (1 sc, 1 inc ) х 8 = 24 sc

4. (2 sc, 1 inc ) х 8 = 32 sc

5. (3 sc, 1 inc ) х 8 = 40 sc

6. (4 sc, 1 inc ) х 8 = 48 sc

7. (5 sc, 1 inc ) х 8 = 56 sc

8. (6 sc, 1 inc ) х 8 = 64 sc

9. (7 sc, 1 inc ) х 8 = 72 sc

10. (8 sc, 1 inc ) х 8 = 80 sc

11. (9 sc, 1 inc ) х 8 = 88 sc

12. (10 sc, 1 inc ) х 8 = 96 sc

13. Crochet 98sc into the front loops.

14 – 20 = 96 sc

Bind off. Cut the excess yarn tail off.

Return to Round 13.

Crochet 96 sc into the back loops of Round 13.

14 – 20 = 96 sc

Bind off. Cut the excess yarn tail off.

Attach the tape to brown and green circles and sew it on as shown on the pictures.

Body strip. Green color

1. Ch 60, starting from the 2nd ch from the hook 58 sc, 3 sc into 1, 57 sc, inc  = 120 sc

2. 1 inc , 57 sc, 3 inc , 57 sc, 2 inc  = 126 sc

3. 1 inc , 57 sc, (1 inc , 1 sc) х 3, 57 sc, (1 inc , 1sc) х 2, 1 sc = 132 sc

4. 1 inc , 2 sc, 57 sc, (1 inc , 2 sc) х 3, 57 sc, (1 inc , 2sc) х 2 = 138 sc

5. 1 inc , 3 sc, 57 sc, (1 inc , 3 sc) х 3, 57 sc, (1 inc , 3sc) х 2 = 144 sc

6. 1 inc , 4 sc, 57 sc, (1 inc , 4 sc) х 3, 57 sc, (1 inc , 4sc) х 2 = 150 sc

1. Crochet 6 sc in a magic ring

2. 6 inc  = 12 sc

Stuff lightly.

4. 6 dec = 6

Bind off. Leave a small piece of thread for further work.

Pierce the wire through the edge of the body strip as shown on the picture.

Attach a length of thread to the body strip and make a knot around the wire to keep it in place as shown on the picture. Pierce a needle though the edge of the strip and start sewing both edges together. Once sewn stuff the head lightly.

Put the eyes onto the wire ends. Apply some glue along the wire and spin yarn over it as shown.

Sew or glue the beads or half - beads on.

Attach and sew the circles onto the body strip as shown on the pictures.
