Dear users, dear authors,
How are you? What are you up to? What’s the weather like?
What’s for lunch?
Do you have any weekly plans or craft goals?
Let me know.
I’ve had a cold for four weeks now and have terrible headaches.
My vacation is over; everyday life started up again today.
It’s dry and cold here.
I’m currently crocheting a table runner that needs to be 3.10 m long and about
30 cm wide. Unfortunately, I have to piece the yarn together so that I use the same
lot number. My stash is dwindling, at least as far as this
cotton yarn goes.
For dinner tonight, we’re having chicken fricassee with rice.
Other than that, I have two school events coming up this week. Friday
is Open House, and Saturday is Open Class Day, since our
little one is switching schools this summer.
It’s raining again here, and I have to go back to work tomorrow.
Right now, I have three test knits in progress, and I’m already working on a shawl. So I’m making the most of this lousy weather.
After days of continuous snowfall, it now looks like the clouds are finally clearing up a bit somewhere for the first time. I still go outside every day, though—I’m sticking to the plowed streets for now, because I’d get stuck in the snow on my usual routes. I’ll send you a picture of what it looks like here.
The photo is mine, in case you have any questions. That thing in the middle of the forest is a beehive—it’s pretty bustling there in the summer.
This is what it looked like here just two days ago:
Everything was buried in snow. It’s still there, even though some of it has already melted. And more is supposed to come in the next few days. I love it because I don’t necessarily have to drive.
Today I baked some bread. Mmm, delicious!
And I’m still tinkering with my new sock design featuring a simple heel. I found the perfect finishing touch today. Now I’m knitting a few samples in different sizes.
The weather here is rainy and very unpleasant.
For lunch today, I had meatloaf with broccoli and cauliflower—leftovers from yesterday.
I have to go back to the hospital tomorrow and hope I’ll be home again soon.
