Cake Yarn

what is cake yarn and what do you make with it?

Cake yarn is wound in a shape similar to Bobbel yarn. It is a thicker yarn that is twisted and often available in colorful block stripes (self-striping), without the soft transitions typical of gradient yarn. The yardage is usually about 500–600 m for a weight of 150–200 g
You can use it to make things like scarves, hats, but also blankets or triangular shawls.
The knitted blanket in my shop, for example, is made from several cakes.
