Double crochet // Pros, cons, and info

Dear users, dear authors,
There are half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, double treble crochet, post double crochet, and many more. Can you tell me about their pros and cons?

All these double crochet stitch variations are among the basic techniques of crocheting.
I’ve learned them all little by little :)

Pros:
-They’re all relatively simple
-The “taller” the stitch, the faster you’ll finish your crochet project ;)
-You can easily create great patterns using the different types of double crochet stitches.

-Disadvantages: The “taller” the stitch, the more open the spaces between them become. For example, you probably wouldn’t crochet an amigurumi using double treble crochets, because otherwise all the stuffing would fall out.
-Post double crochets use up a lot of yarn. You’ll need a whole lot of yarn for those :)

Advantage: Projects made with double crochet are quick to complete.

Disadvantage: They use more yarn and are better suited for airy items, which, on the other hand, can also be an advantage.

I love making double crochet stitches. I found a magazine that has some patterns using double crochet.
