Sewing: What’s your current sewing project?

what are you sewing right now?

Of course, I’m trying my hand at Christmas decorations right now. I want to sew stars, hearts, and little Christmas trees. I’ve started with a star. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out—except for the points. The points won’t come out right. Either my fabric (old hemp linen) is too thick for this, or I was too hesitant when trimming the seam allowance.

  Now I’m going to try using a thin cotton fabric and make a little tree. 





Right now, I’m sewing a coat for my sister’s dog. I also plan to make an Advent calendar, and Junior would like a homemade owl-shaped cherry pit pillow. I’ll start on both today—or tomorrow at the latest.
