Mittens are in the shop, wrist warmers too, but no gloves with fingers

Hello to all the readers and authors,
since autumn is pretty much dominating over in the other thread, I thought I’d go into the shop and see what things look like for gloves. Mittens, including for babies and children, are available in large numbers. Arm warmers too, and leg warmers as well. But not so many gloves with fingers. There are plenty of fingerless gloves, but really, those are more like wrist warmers. I still haven’t quite understood the difference between wrist warmers and fingerless gloves. Wrist warmers are open at the front, meaning where the hand transitions into the fingers?
but anyway: gloves with fingers that keep the hand warm from the fingertips to the wrist aren’t available in the shop. Unless, of course, I’ve overlooked something.

Is it the case that gloves with fingers are not (or no longer) in demand? So are mittens and wrist warmers more in demand for both children and adults?

Well, I prefer gloves; I find them much more practical than mittens. As for knitting, I can only speak from my own experience. When I was going through my sock-knitting phase, I tried making a pair of gloves once, and I hated it. There were definitely too few stitches on the needle for my liking ;o)
I haven’t crocheted gloves yet. It might be worth a try ;o)
 

Thanks for your reply. Maybe there will still be more fingered gloves available, whether crocheted, knitted, or sewn. Maybe more people here would like that, too.
