Crochet Pattern

Can someone explain to me how the pattern of the blanket is crocheted? The double crochet stitches run horizontally in one direction and vertically in the other. Does this pattern also have a name? Unfortunately, I couldn’t ask the crocheter…

It looks like the C2C (Corner to Corner) technique to me...

I also think it’s the C2C pattern.

Just try searching for “C2C” online.
