Looking for testers for craft patterns: possible here

Here is the new thread
Looking for testers for craft patterns: possible here, Part 2.

Dear users, dear authors,
since you keep needing testers / test crocheters / test knitters / test crafters / test sewers, etc., I’m opening a thread here where you can look for exactly that. Looking for testers is, of course, always connected with self-promotion, so this is also an advertising thread.

Briefly introduce your pattern / your project and please also answer any questions. Since you still want to sell the patterns, please do not copy entire pattern texts here.

This thread is only for patterns that are intended to be sold on CP.
Good luck.

I’ll start things off by looking for test knitters for my “Cape” project.

The pattern isn’t quite finished yet, but it follows a specific structure.
It consists of knit and purl stitches, so it should be doable for beginners.

I’m looking for test knitters for these socks:

As you can see, I haven’t quite finished knitting them myself yet, but the pattern is already done (except for the cover image), so I’m now looking for eager test knitters.

The pattern, or rather the design, is worked over 68 stitches - size(s) approx. 37/38 to 40/41
The design itself is available as a “written” version and as a chart.

There is a short version for the pros on the one hand, but brave beginners are also very welcome to give it a try. I explain the individual steps in even more detail - especially the heel, which is described thoroughly and with pictures! However, knowing how sock knitting itself “works” is assumed.

You should have the following skills for this design:
knit stitches
purl stitches
twisted stitches
cross 2 stitches to the left and right
cable 4 stitches together to the left and right
knit garter stitch
knit 1 st through the back loop from the strand between stitches

The socks should be finished by the end of October so that I can publish the pattern at the beginning of November.

If you’re interested in putting my pattern through its paces for me and giving constructive criticism on the pattern itself, please contact me by PM!

It would be great if someone has never knitted the heel shown before...so that the pattern can also be checked for any comprehension difficulties.

I’ll just add a search status here: OPEN

As soon as I have found enough (about 5) suitable testers, I will change the status to “FULL” so everyone knows. I hope this is also OK for the dear Moderatoren!?

Best regards, Nicole

Here’s a sample of the pattern showing the front and back.

The pattern includes abbreviations that are explained at the beginning and is numbered row by row.

I’m looking for 4 test knitters.

Me again: I’d appreciate having test knitters by the end of October so I can list the pattern around mid- to late November.

The cape doesn’t have to be completely knitted—
just enough so that the pattern chart is recognizable.

It’s slow going, haha!

I’ve already found two testers, but more by chance elsewhere… One is my mom, who saw the socks at my place, and the other is an “old online acquaintance” whom I told about my project.

I think it’ll just take a little more time and patience on our part until word about this thread gets around. Or maybe non-authors just aren’t reading this thread...?

@everyone,
could you please share this thread on Facebook, etc.?

Hello, I’m still looking for 2 test crocheters for a crochet top—ideally also (but of course not a must) in size 48+
The key details:
Raglan from the top down, mesh/openwork pattern, choose your own yarn and adapt the size yourself to any women’s size, great for gradient yarn but also possible with any other yarn for hook size 3–3.5.
Would you like to join in? Please send me an email at info@maschenkreationen.de. A photo or a few photos of your work as attachments would be great, and of course a few words about yourself! :-)
I look forward to your email!
Best regards
Miriam from Maschenkreationen

Hello, everyone!

I’m looking for testers again—this time, I’m calling on sock knitters who’d like to try knitting the horseshoe heel .

I’ve “put together” a step-by-step pattern and included a few pictures. There’s also a size and stitch-distribution chart (for the heel turn) for 4- and 6-ply yarn.

The pattern focuses exclusively on the heel—the rest of the sock isn’t covered!

Anyone interested, anyone who’d like to try it, or anyone who hasn’t yet? ...please let me know! And please tell me which heel you’ve knitted so far!

THANK YOU! I look forward to hearing from you!

Best regards, Nicole

Hello everyone, I’m looking for 1 or 2 test crocheters for an autumn project. The pattern is in English and German. This is a pattern for a table runner/table band in filet crochet with a leaf pattern.

I would be happy to receive constructive criticism or praise after the test crochet.

Hi there,
I’m looking for test crocheters for my amigurumi girl Lilly.
The pattern isn’t quite finished yet, but I’ll have my sample doll ready this evening. I’ll finish writing the pattern over the next 2–3 days.
Since I’m just starting out with my own patterns, I’m still having a bit of trouble with some of the wording. But I’m trying to express myself as clearly as possible. Would anyone be interested?
Kind regards, Monika

It’s going to be a scarf.
The written pattern is finished. A knitting chart will be added later.
That should make it about two pages long.

How does the process of testing the patterns work?
Are you satisfied—whether as a tester or as an author who has their pattern tested?

I think it’s great that this testing program exists. I’ve found that testing crochet patterns comes much more naturally to me. I haven’t knitted any samples in ages and have to get back into the swing of things, but it’s fun.

Thanks to the authors for giving us the opportunity to share our experiences and any issues we encounter.

I’m totally satisfied with my wonderful and lovely testers so far!

Personally, I have (almost) all of my patterns tested beforehand—and I’m constantly reminded of just how important that is. The text you’ve written yourself, or even the knitting charts, are crystal clear, understandable, and logical to you—but I’m always amazed by how many different ways there are to interpret them (whether in writing or visually)! And that’s exactly why it’s great for me when I can find at least 2 to 3 testers, so that I can (as best as possible) clear up any ambiguities in the patterns.

I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who brings the necessary enthusiasm and patience to work with us authors, and of course provides honest, constructive (!) feedback—I really enjoy it!

I’m looking for testers for socks:

The leg features a lovely textured pattern that’s easy to knit (just knit stitches and purl stitches), and the foot continues with a striped pattern.

The pattern also includes “basic instructions” for knitting socks.

If you have the time and are interested, please let me know—I’d love to hear from you!

Hello,

I’m looking for test knitters for this pattern:

The pattern consists of a written section with abbreviations and a knitting chart.

I’m knitting with 2-ply yarn using size 2 needles.
One or two pattern repeats are sufficient.

Good morning, everyone! I’m looking for test knitters for a dishcloth.

You’ll need about 40 grams of cotton yarn. The stitch pattern is explained in writing in the pattern, and there’s a knitting chart. You only need to know how to knit and purl stitches. Even beginners are welcome to test knit.

It took me one afternoon to complete.

Just send me an email via the contact form, and I’ll send you more information.

Have a sunny day!

I could use test knitters for a colorful little dress for a two-year-old. Would anyone like to knit it? The pattern is almost finished. You’ll need cotton yarn (160 m/50 g)—I used Drops Safran in several colors. The dress is knitted with raglan sleeves starting from the top and has colorful stripes at the bottom.

It’s important to me that the pattern is easy to understand and simple to follow.

Here’s what the dress looks like:

I know—it’s summer... but: Does anyone feel like knitting gloves to knit? The pattern is almost finished and ready to be tested.

You’ll need 1 skein of 4-ply sock yarn and a set of 2.5 mm double-pointed needles, as well as, of course, the desire and time!

The pattern is written for a glove size of approx. 6.5 to 7.5 and includes lots of pictures.

Required skills:

  • knit stitches
  • twisted knit stitches
  • purl stitches
  • increase stitches through the back loop from the strand between stitches
  • knit stitches together

If this sounds like you and you can knit the gloves by around the end of July, please contact me by PM (!)!

Best wishes, Nicole

Hi everyone, I could still use 1–2 test knitters for my cardigan, which has a small lace pattern on the back and a slightly oversized fit.

The cardigan is worked top down in one piece. It should be manageable for advanced beginners.

Materials: 4 and 5 mm circular needles, stitch markers and holders or scrap yarn.
Yarn: between 400 and 550 g of Aran yarn (weight 4), depending on size. Gauge: 17 stitches x 22 rows
Buttons approx. 1.5 cm in diameter
I will send the PDF files by email by July 30 at the latest. It should be completed by August 30, along with feedback on how it went, how much yarn was used, etc. Feel free to share pictures on social media and tag my profile. Send me a message if you're interested.

I’m looking for a test crocheter for a baby blanket.

Required stitches: Magic ring * Chain stitches * Double crochet *
3 double crochets worked together

The pattern is worked in spiral rounds, and you should be able to follow a crochet chart. Although there is a written supplement, it is only meant to provide additional support.

I crocheted my blanket using variegated yarn, approximately 1,200 m with a 3.5 hook.

Since the pattern simply repeats after a few rounds, the time required for test crocheting and proofreading the pattern is very minimal.

Maybe someone has some yarn, some time, and a baby on the way.

One in different colors

One with a long color gradient

Feel free to contact me via the contact options.

I’m looking for test sewists for a quiet book for toddlers. The book consists of 4 double-page spreads and a cover, measures 15x20 cm, and is sewn by hand from felt. Some experience with sewing or needlework is likely helpful, and/or a bit of patience and dexterity may be necessary. Here are a few pictures:

You’ll mainly need felt (at least 30x20 cm for a 15x20 cm book; about 10–15 sheets for the entire book). The felt should be about 1 mm thick and relatively stiff. You’ll also need some wide hook-and-loop tape, crochet thread, thin fishing line, and sewing thread.

Feel free to send me a private message if you have any questions or are interested in sewing the entire book or individual pages and giving me feedback on the pattern.
Best regards,
Nina

Hello everyone,

I’ve now put my latest idea down on paper and am looking for test knitters for arm warmers with thumb gussets / fingerless gloves.

You’ll need experience and practice knitting with a set of double-pointed needles and a cable needle. Crochet skills are optional for edging with crab stitches.

  You’ll need about 60 grams of yarn (110 m / 120 m per 50 grams), a set of double-pointed needles size 4, an optional size 3.5 crochet hook, and a little time.

If you’re interested, send me a message via the contact form.

Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone!
Petra

Hello everyone,
I’m looking for testers for a knitted headband.
You should have some experience with a set of double-pointed needles, as well as time to start knitting as soon as possible.
If you’re interested, please contact me directly via the contact form.

I’m looking for testers for this stole pattern:

It’s enough to knit the pattern once.

I’m using “Moonlight Glitter” by Wollbiene with 3.25 mm needles.

The pattern consists of a written section with abbreviations and a knitting chart.

If there’s ever a chance to test-knit doll clothes (not Barbie), I’d be more than happy to help.
