Test Knitting

I’ll be looking for test knitters for cable pattern socks soon and wanted to ask if I can officially do this here in a new forum post...

I’ve already written and published a few free patterns—but not here yet—which is why I’m not very familiar with the forums.

To avoid any misunderstandings right from the start, that’s why I’m asking!
If so—are there any guidelines, etc., on how to go about finding testers, or is that up to me?

How did you want to handle the search for test knitters?
My suggestion:
You’ve already started a thread on this topic.
Simply describe right here in the thread (without an advertising link) what it’s about, then people who would like to take part can contact you by PM = private message, and then you can send them the files/descriptions. Of course, you can also discuss things directly in the thread, just without copying the entire patterns into it.
After all, you still want to sell them later.

Yes, that’s exactly how I had imagined it…

Once the pattern is finished, I’d post a call for testers—with all the relevant details, of course, and a photo. I’d then send the pattern via private message. My only goal here in this thread is to find testers—everything else would then be handled “privately.”

Since looking for testers always involves self-promotion, that makes perfect sense. Since your pattern is also going to be sold here on Crazypatterns, you can use this thread as well.
