Planned Pooling

what is Planned Pooling and what do you do with it?

I happened to come across planned pooling last night.
It’s a technique where gradient yarn (with short color transitions) is worked out and calculated (crocheted or knitted) in such a way that patterns emerge.
I’ve most often seen checkered patterns.
It’s definitely fascinating, and I definitely want to give it a try!
Apparently, there are certain yarns that work particularly well for this. I’m excited to hear from those of you who’ve already tried it.
