Our children and grandchildren are coming to visit for Easter, so we’ll be having a delicious meal.
We’re hoping for nice weather so we can get out into nature, too.

I wish you, the team, and everyone here a wonderful Easter.

If the weather’s nice, we’ll have a barbecue and go on our first bike ride.
If the weather’s bad, I don’t have any plans yet, but either way, I’m looking forward to a few nice days off :-)

I'm on my way to Berlin with my daughter right now. We're spending this Easter with my old roommate and want to visit the Body Worlds exhibition. My 13-year-old daughter has been pestering me about it for a long time. 

Meanwhile, my hubby is looking after our animals and my yarn :-p  I'm even traveling without any crochet stuff for once.

Wishing everyone a lovely Easter 

On Sunday, I’ll be at my parents’ house with my son, enjoying a good meal without Wauzi—he’s too old to get into a car anymore. Otherwise, I’ll be spending the holidays with my crochet hook and out in nature with Wauzi, if the weather cooperates (and even if it doesn’t, because he has to go out anyway).

My daughter is visiting me these days with my younger grandson, and tomorrow we’re driving to my mother’s—she hasn’t seen her youngest great-grandson yet. On Easter, we’ll have a small celebration with a slightly larger group, also at my mother’s.

My 4-year-old granddaughter is coming to visit me today. She says we absolutely have to make something for Easter.
I’ll probably see the other grandchildren on Sunday. I’m really looking forward to that, too. That’s all I need. Spending time with my grandchildren is my best Easter gift anyway.

I’m enjoying the fact that there won’t be any renovations going on in the house over the next few days.
At least I can get back to proofreading.

I just cleaned the apartment and now I’m lying on the sofa crocheting. Later, I’ll look over some recipes and put together the Easter menu. My parents and my mother-in-law are coming over for dinner on Sunday.

I still have to work tomorrow, Sunday, but I have Monday off, and then we’ll really make
ourselves comfortable on the sofa—delicious food, a movie, and Easter treats—and there’ll be some crocheting
too.
There’s still plenty of snow here, and it’s freezing cold, so we’d rather stay inside.

To be honest, I’m actually quite glad that Easter is over. It was a very sad Easter this time. We buried our mother on Good Friday.
It wasn’t really a surprise, but when it actually happened, it was still a surprise.
Good Friday was a beautiful spring day. I’ll remember that forever. Next to the grave stands a tree where a bird has built its nest. I don’t know why, but the sight of that bird was very comforting.
Slowly, the realization is sinking in that she’s truly gone now. Above all, I look back with gratitude—gratitude for the life she gave me, and gratitude for the trust she gave me from a very young age. There are some things I’m only now becoming aware of. She will live on in my heart.

Ida, I, too, wish you lots of strength and comfort for the time ahead. Even today, I often find myself thinking that I need to tell my mother something or ask her a quick question: she passed away in October 2004. I, too, look back on the time I spent with her with great gratitude; she gave my sister and me so much.
