Crocheting post stitches

what are post stitches, what do you use them for? What makes them special?

Post stitches are worked around double crochets (single crochets work too). This means you crochet around regular double crochets, either from the front or the back. This creates a beautiful textured pattern that you can use for almost anything (e.g. hats, scarves, sweaters, wrist warmers, etc.).

Since post double crochets are worked alternately from the front and back and are stretchy, they’re also great for crocheted cuffs.
