Dear users, dear authors,
this is where we’re creating our leaderboard for everyone who does well in projects like UFO King/Queen / Yarn Diet – Yarn Emperor/Empress // Best of Leftovers, etc.

Hi Josefa

This list is another brilliant idea of yours—great.

That means we don’t always have to keep searching. THANK YOU.

I’m glad you like the idea. I’ll be adding to the list little by little. It’ll take a while, though—I can’t do everything at once.

Josefa, I don’t want to put you under any pressure. I just discovered the list and think it’s great.

As the long yarn-diet phase that quite a few of you took part in comes to an end (my compliments!), maybe we can take a first interim look at 2018.

I need your help with this.
Please provide the following:

- Number of UFO King/Queen titles (since titles started being awarded in 2017)
- Number of Leftover Champ titles
- Number of Yarn Empress titles = stuck with the yarn diet for one month
- made it to the final round of world domination: "abstinent" since when,
- Number of projects made from patterns in 2018 so far
- Number of patterns completed in 2018 = for authors
- Number of newly learned techniques / tricks?
--> Everything as of the end of April.

We're outdoing ourselves :-)
--> We'll do the next interim update at the end of the next extended yarn diet = from August to October = final round for domination of this galaxy, because world domination has to be topped somehow. You know how it is, this world here is not enough. :-) Maybe someday there will also be a final round for domination of the universe, but possibly not until 2019.

Okay, let's get started then.
At the end of April I'll put all of the above into the first post, and then we'll head into May with momentum. Until the next interim update in October, you can still collect plenty of titles. The more, the better.

Oh wow—that’s really quite an achievement: 42 projects!! :-)

Josefa, I just discovered this additional thread and now have to go through everything. Unfortunately, I don’t remember all of that off the top of my head anymore. I don’t know if I’ll be able to get through it all today...

So I’ve been doing the yarn diet since December too :-)
If I’ve roughly worked it out correctly, there were 28 projects.
I was “Reste-Beste” (I think) three times. I had an honorary title in September when I became a mom and had other things on my mind besides crocheting. But I don’t remember what you called it :-)

Josefa, do you have a tip to help us find the threads more easily?
I don’t even remember exactly when, for example, the “UFO Queen” project started...

For me, it’s very short :-)

Ufo-KönigIn:

several times:
  • September 2017
  • October 2017
I’m not counting my own patterns as an author here!

I just realized that 2017 should be included too.

During the event from October 30 to November 6, 2017, I knitted and crocheted 20 more hats, and also knitted 1 more pair of baby booties.

For that, I got the title “Reste Beste.”

My last project from April didn’t get finished after all.
I think everything is correct now.

Wow... it’s crazy how much you’ve all managed to get done!
I’m just thinking about how much I’ve made this year. So:
1 beanie
1 triangular shawl, still working on that
1 bag
1 cowl knooked for my daughter
1 little crocheted item (doll for babies)
4 pairs of baby booties
1 hippo
6 loveys
1 crocheted triangular shawl

Hmm... maybe I left something out. That’s all I can think of right now. So about 17 projects. Some things are still in planning, and 2 UFOs are still waiting. And of course, I’m working on reducing my yarn stash. I’ve been abstinent for 1 month now.

Best, Nancy

Oops, quite a few entries have been added since May. Right now, though, I don’t have time to put together a list, since I still need to finish knitting and crocheting a few mini socks by Thursday and some tissue pouches by Monday—and on top of that, I’m supposed to write the annual reports by Friday…

@RuthK,
if you’d like to start over, you’re welcome to do so.

@everyone,
anyone who’d like to start over can do so.
Of course, anyone who doesn’t want to start over can do that too.
Whatever is more convenient for you is absolutely fine.
