Hi,

I have two absolute favorites:

For one thing, I really enjoy crocheting a lot with Catania by Schachenmayr, and for
another, I really like Lisa Premium by Gründl.

Best regards, Heike

I’ve been hooked on yarn cakes since last year. Whether they’re 3-ply or multi-ply, fine or thick and fluffy, I love them all.

Another yarn I really enjoy working with is Versailles Supersoft by Butinette. It’s so colorfast, and you can make some really great things for kids with it.

Hi there!

I have favorite yarns for all kinds of projects...
For amigurumi and play shop accessories, for example, I most like using Catania; for little dresses and sweaters etc. for children, cozy baby yarns; for tunics etc., wool-blend yarns... shawls from gradient yarn cakes... table runners from Catania or Sonja by Wollbutt...

It always depends on the project!

Best wishes

I work exclusively with yarn made from 50% cotton and 50% acrylic from Traumgarne.

I’m also in love with the Bobbel from Traumgarne, and that’s where my focus is shifting right now. However, I still want some variety. I just knitted a shawl with the coziest sock yarn I’ve ever come across ;-)—it was from Supergarne. I bought some more, just in case!

I knit with whatever I can get my hands on :-) At least I try to knit with everything!

For amigurumi, I prefer Catania or Cotone.

Right now, I really like merino wool, but I also enjoy bamboo yarn.

I think Noro looks beautiful, too, but I haven’t knitted with it yet (coming soon).

I’m not a big fan of acrylic—I just knitted a hat with a cable pattern as a test, and that wasn’t very pleasant.

I prefer to knit and crochet with cotton or merino wool from Drops. For one thing, they offer a wide selection at a good price, and the yarn feels great. Also, when it comes to sheep’s wool, I make sure it comes from animals raised in humane conditions. Unfortunately, that’s not always the case.

I’ve also knitted with merino wool from Finkhof. I really like that too, and it holds up extremely well in wear, which is great, especially for toddlers.

I’ve also recently started really enjoying knitting with sock yarn, but even there I pay close attention to quality and origin.

I work almost exclusively with hand-dyed yarns from select wool dyers. These are high-quality yarns from Lanartus, Schmeichelgarne, and a few others—featuring gorgeous colors that aren’t available in every store and where custom requests are also accommodated.

I have a lot of favorites... and they vary depending on the project.
Right now, I’m working with Almeria by Austermann—made of 50% merino, 30% alpaca, and 20% silk—it’s a dream :-))))
