Circular knitting needle

I want to knit a pillow using a circular needle. I know how to cast on the stitches, but I don’t know how to knit the first row. Could you please give me an answer or an explanation of how to do this?

I just wanted to mention that when knitting, you can also knit in rounds and in a spiral, just like when crocheting.
