How to find a gallery with images of an author’s products

Dear authors,

Every author on crazypatterns has their own section in the gallery where you can find all the projects created by users following that author’s patterns.

A link to an author’s gallery has the following structure:
https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/gallery/store/>

where > is the author’s name.

Examples:

Haekelkeks: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/gallery/store/haekelkeks
Natalija: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/gallery/store/Natalija
Haekelteufel: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/gallery/store/haekelteufel
 

A question about this: does this only work if the pattern is listed as an item, i.e. as a PDF file? It doesn’t work if it’s only on the blog.... Am I right?

It would be nice, though, if my gallery blog could be allowed as an exception this time, since I find it a bit more “user-friendly” and “personal,” and it’s part of the series and draws readers to the blog.

I didn’t want to create Buchstabensalat as an item, precisely so that people would visit the blog; if I upload it as a free item, no one will visit the blog anymore.... and that’s actually the whole point—we wanted blog readers, after all :-) If it’s an item, people will just check the shop to see if a new letter is available, and the blog gets left out. Theoretically, as a designer, it shouldn’t matter to me whether people look in my shop or on the blog… but if no one checks the blog anymore, the goal is lost, and we all wanted to pull together—and if someone checks in regularly because of my blog posts, other bloggers also benefit from being seen :-)

I’m not very familiar with this, but would it be technically possible to add a button on the profile page of each shop (or on the product description page) that links to the gallery?!

if you use the links at the very top of Alexander’s first post, you’ll go directly to the gallery with all the images that were uploaded for the patterns by the respective seller.
In addition, on each product page at the top you’ll find a link to the gallery with uploaded images for that particular pattern.
See graphic. It gets larger when clicked.


There is also the option to click directly on the full gallery with all uploaded images. At the very top right, next to the buttons for "Forum" and "Blog" as well as "Help", is the "Gallery" button.

thanks for your reply!
I find it a bit of a hassle to have to remember the link Alexander posted just to access the respective gallery. It would be easier to have a separate button on the shop page or in the item description of the respective user. But if that’s not technically possible, I understand!

Unfortunately, in the gallery on the item description page, I can’t find any pictures other than those posted by the creator of the pattern—in other words, I can’t find any crocheted or knitted versions made by others there...

But maybe I’m just a little confused right now....

I’m not entirely sure if we’re misunderstanding each other.
But please go to the product page for a pattern that interests you. There’s a gallery on every product page and for every pattern. See the image in my post above.
The gallery button is already there on the product page next to the item description.
Could you take another look? I think we might be talking past each other a bit.

It’s nice that you’re still sticking with this :)

The way I understand it, there are theoretically three different types of galleries:

* in a product description with users’ pictures of the product
Path: Product description/Gallery

* an overall gallery with the users’ recreated items
Path: top right on the homepage

* a gallery in the authors’ own section
Path: the link Alexander posted above in the opening post


What I would like is a gallery that contains users’ pictures of items they made from a pattern and that is collected on either the product description page or the author’s shop page. Simply to get more color or design ideas or to see what the recreated items look like....
Before I buy a pattern, I like to look at something like that; it helps me make my purchase decision. And the three options mentioned above for getting to the respective galleries are a bit too cumbersome.... But as I said, maybe it just isn’t technically possible....
