These little crocheted good-luck charms can brighten up your New Year’s Eve party in many ways: as scattered decorations on the table, as decorations for place cards or invitations, as tags on bottles, or as little good-luck charms for your guests. You can crochet them quickly and easily using your leftover yarn.

These two fly agaric siblings make a lovely little gift to bring along. They measure 15 cm and 9 cm tall. The larger mushroom child has a wire frame inside, so it can bend its arms and legs. The two are not only good luck charms but also pretty decorations for fall.
Material:
  • Cotton in the colors white, skin tone, red
  • White mohair yarn for the hair
  • Chenille wire
  • Stuffing
  • 2.5 mm crochet hook
  • Black and red embroidery floss

Mini Lucky Pig Crochet Pattern (with Clover) Click here to go directly to the crochet pattern

With this crochet pattern, you can make your own little pocket lucky charm!! This cute mini pig measures only about 4–5 cm and is perfect as a small keychain or bag charm. The pattern also explains how to crochet the clover step by step, with plenty of pictures. Since the piggy can be crocheted very quickly (experienced crocheters can finish it in under an hour), it’s the perfect gift for New Year’s! :-) What you’ll need
  • Leftover yarn (about 8g) in pink, as well as leftover yarn in green (only about 4g); suitable for a 2mm crochet hook (I used Schachenmayr Regia).
  • Googly eyes / adhesive eyes and superglue
  • A thin string or cord to hang the clover with the pig
  • A little stuffing
  • 2mm crochet hook
  • Scissors, darning needle
Contents: 14 illustrated pages of crochet pattern instructions. Difficulty level: Easy, suitable for beginners. The piglet is crocheted entirely in single crochet (you should be able to make a magic ring) and is therefore also ideal for crochet beginners! The clover is crocheted using a magic ring, single crochet, and double crochet. I explain this process in great detail, with plenty of pictures in the pattern, so that even as a beginner you’ll understand everything.

New Year's Eve party with a couple like this:

Crochet Pattern Bottle Outfit Black-Red-Gold

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

.. an original gift wrap for wine and sparkling wine bottles– an eye-catcher at every party.. for her a “Bottle Petticoat” and for him a “Bottle Suit with Bow Tie”, crocheted.

Pretty much any yarn is suitable, as long as it is not labeled for a hook size larger than 3.0. You will also need a measuring tape, scissors, a yarn needle for weaving in ends, a stitch marker is helpful (a contrasting thread works too), and of course standard wine or sparkling wine bottles.

Both patterns are included in one PDF and are explained in detail with pictures on 15 pages. The pattern is not a basic crochet course, but it does include a helpful link for those with less experience.

These crochet skills are required:
chain stitches, crocheting in rows and rounds, slip stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet. Front and back post double crochet stitches are explained and illustrated.

The little chimney sweep mouse with her four-leaf clover is a lucky charm not only for the New Year.
Using the specified materials, the little chimney sweep mouse measures 13 cm tall when sitting. The clover has a diameter of 9 cm.
Both are ideal for using leftover yarn.
The pattern includes detailed photos that make it easier to recreate. However, basic crochet skills are required.

The following materials are needed to make it:
  • Leftover cotton yarn in light gray, skin tone or beige, dark gray, black, light green
  • Safety eyes, 6 mm, in black
  • Crochet hook size 3
  • Stuffing

Lucky Pig Piggy Pig

Everyone can use a bit of luck, and not just for New Year’s. The little lucky pig Pig Piggy brings lots of luck into the house. Not only are pigs considered a symbol of luck, but the extra-large cloverleaf also brings plenty of luck into your home.

In a step-by-step pattern, I explain how to make this cute little pig :) Lots of pictures also support the pattern.

It is also very well suited for crochet beginners who may still need a small hostess gift for a New Year’s Eve party

Difficulty level: Easy

What you need:

  • Gründl Happy pink 100 g (250 m length per 100 g)
  • A little Gründl Happy white and black as well as pink and green (just a few grams each; it can also be another yarn that is crocheted with a size 4 hook)
  • Stuffing and two 30 mm googly eyes
  • Hook size 4, yarn needle and scissors
What you need to know:

  • MR = Magic Ring
  • M = stitch
  • FM = single crochet
  • Lm = chain stitch
  • hStb= half double crochet
  • Stb = double crochet
  • zusm. = together
  • verdp. = double the stitch
If you have any questions, I’ll be happy to help
