With the two holidays, the week wasn't very long, but a few extra days off never hurt anyone.

What are your plans?

That’s right—the week was short and it’s the weekend again. I’m meeting up with a former coworker for a Chinese brunch; I’m looking forward to catching up and feasting.
Tomorrow I’m heading into town for breakfast and then to the medical supply store, where I’ll pick up a brace for my so-called tennis elbow.
On Sunday, I’ll be cooking for the family—my father-in-law and brother-in-law are coming over for lunch.

When I read this back, I realize a lot of my life revolves around food—well, I just love it.
Of course, I’ll pick up my crochet hook every now and then to work on a project.

You’re right—this week was nice because of the holidays.

My husband is in the hospital as of today, so my weekend is taken care of. If I have time, I’ll keep working with my leftover yarn.

Tomorrow I’m meeting up with a former coworker. And other than that, just lots of knitting :-)

I’m hoping for nice weather. We really need to get out into the woods and fields—to look for mole earth and collect beech leaves. All the turtles have already burrowed in, and for hibernation they need it soft and covered over.
And of course, we’ll be knitting.

In Basel, as every year around this time, it's the Autumn Fair and the "Häfelimärkt" - I always think it's wonderful, and in the fall it's always a highlight that I especially look forward to! We'll be strolling through it this weekend! I can only warmly recommend it!
