Munich is always worth a trip...
and of course you'll need a dirndl there. This one is a bit too small for me, but since my Barbie really wants to come along, she naturally needs to be dressed in traditional style too. This one comes in the traditional colors red, green, and black, but of course you can also crochet the dirndl in your favorite colors. For it you'll need Catania fine (LL 165m/50g) or a similarly thin yarn and a 2 mm crochet hook.
The pattern is richly illustrated and clearly structured.
You can download it here!

Aix-en-Provence is a charming city in southern France. It has good food, lots of cherry trees (they’re more interesting in summer), nice cafés, and, a little outside the city, the Vasarely Museum. There you can admire large-format Op Art works, which are very impressive. Inspired by that, I’ve created an infinity scarf for you here that will make you seem like a true art connoisseur on your museum visit.

The pattern is here.

It’s not easy to knit, I’ll say that right away. It’s made from sock yarn in double-face technique, which does require a bit of practice. What I find fascinating is the interplay of colors, which are exactly reversed on the two opposite sides. The pattern is shown in knitting charts. You can also use it for a scarf; it doesn’t necessarily have to be an infinity scarf. I’ve also included a small optical illusion.

Soho is a district of London, also known as the nightlife district. Urban, a little quirky, and full of life. You can’t go wrong there with a quirky scarf.

It’s knitted lengthwise from thick cotton yarn. The pattern is a dropped-stitch pattern, which gives it a light and airy look. Finally, the scarf also features crocheted fringes at the ends, making it a project where both knitters and crocheters can let their creativity run wild.

A city-trip dream would be Edinburgh ♥
Given the weather, I would definitely take a nice thick loop scarf with me.

For example, the cozy loop scarf in colorful autumn shades, which is sure to turn heads in rainy, gray Scotland!

Gifts are in demand, and a hat like this is also great for knitting on the train, for example:

Knitting pattern for the ALL-SEASON BEANIE hat made from sock yarn

(To purchase/download, please click the image)

For this featherlight all-season beanie, which is made with knitting needles in various sizes (the brim with size 3.5 needles, the main section with size 6.0 needles, the decreases with 4.5 and 4.0) and for the embellishment with a size 3.0–4.0 crochet hook, 70 g of 6-ply sock yarn is enough, although usually 1 skein is 150 g. So with the leftover yarn you can easily knit a small cowl or even 1 pair of socks up to shoe size 36/37 :-)

By the way: a sock-knitting course for 6-ply sock yarn is available here:
https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/22205/strickanleitung-socken-aus-6-faedigem-garn-lehrgang-mit-tabellen-fuer-alle-groessen

With colorful sock yarn, the color gradient—as in this picture—appears automatically.

These knitting skills are needed:
knit stitches, purl stitches, knitting in the round, left-leaning knit decreases.Crochet skills: chain stitches, slip stitches

Difficulty level: medium, easy for experienced knitters

A city trip during the cold season—you’ll want to bundle up warmly.

Why not knit a hat on the journey and wear it right away?

This hat comes in 8 sizes and knits up quickly, for both young and old.
The pattern is explained in detail with pictures. You should be comfortable using a set of double-pointed needles and know how to knit and purl.

That way, you’ll be well wrapped up against wind, snow, and storms and can stroll through the city.

You can find the hat pattern here

For a city trip, it has to be something simple and quick to make for the journey. That’s where Simply Loop comes in—it’s just the right project. It consists only of knit stitches and purl stitches, yarn overs, and knitting two stitches together.
Adding a second color brings some variety.

A detailed description guides you through the crochet process.
For clarification, there are 2 charts in crochet chart format included in the pattern.
In addition, a diagram helps guide you step by step through the crochet process.

This pattern is designed for sizes S/M/L/XL.
However, the pattern explains how the top can very easily be adjusted to any size.
The included cut and the gauge help with that!
