Crocheting in rounds and rows

Crocheting single crochet stitches in rounds and rows results in different patterns.
Since some crochet projects require you to work in rounds first and then in rows, you can always see the transition there.
Does anyone know if there’s a technique for crocheting in rows that produces the same pattern as when crocheting in rounds? I’ve searched online several times but haven’t found anything.

Sometimes I also turn the work when crocheting in rounds, and then the pattern is the same as when crocheting in rows. So: make a slip stitch, chain 1, then turn and crochet back.

You’ll probably always see a slight transition if you don’t crochet in spiral rounds. When crocheting double crochet in rounds, I actually have a little “trick”: I use a “fake double crochet” (EDIT Mario do not post external links), but I also turn it once more and then keep crocheting. That sounds a bit complicated, and I had to tinker around a little until I figured it out, but then you really can hardly see the round transition anymore. You can even crochet post double crochet in rounds with this fake double crochet. ;- )
But it takes a little practice.

Since the link can’t be posted, please try googling "falsche Stäbchen häkeln". ^^
It’s really hard to explain. ;-)

I also always turn at the end of a round, make a slip stitch, and work the required chain stitches. That way, the start of the round stays in the same place and doesn’t “shift”...

The only thing I can think of right now to achieve a uniform stitch pattern would be to turn the work after every round.

To replicate the pattern of spiral rounds in rows, you’d have to work in the same direction every time, and that would probably only work if you started each row with a new strand of yarn and began on the same side.
It’s certainly doable, but it would be quite labor-intensive.

It’s described quite well here.
EDIT Mario: Don’t post external links
