Not today. But on Tuesday I ordered some Bobbels.
And on Monday—I think—I’ll be buying something else.
Then we’re doing a big shop at a huge store that
is incredibly well stocked with yarn, but actually I don’t want to buy anything
at all. But ........

Well, I didn’t buy anything today. Last week I bought a yarn cake—it’s for a shawl. But I don’t have time for that right now. I’ve firmly resolved to use up my leftover yarn. I’ll be working on that for a long time—there’s so much of it.

My post on this topic, written last night, has disappeared! So, I had to buy a bit more Creative Hubble for Christmas gifts for my coworkers. I’m now trying to buy new yarn only when my stash isn’t enough for a specific project (despite all those tempting yarn cakes!)

I didn’t buy anything today, but I’ve actually bought quite a bit lately at our local craft store, specifically: Prolana Kid Seta Color. These are gorgeous colors—a gradient yarn made of mohair and silk. I already have four colors, and I’ve ordered one more. I’m using it to knit the simplest triangular shawl; two are finished, and the third is in progress. For this, I need—knitted with a single strand—50 g, so 2 skeins of 25 g each (25 g yields 210 m). Great yarn, but you have to work carefully; unraveling or unknitting is very difficult.
Oh, and besides that, the closet is also full of yarn and lots of scraps ;-)
