Socks made from 6-ply yarn—course with charts for all sizes
(To
purchase/download, please click the image)
Socks made from 6-ply sock yarn are a bit thicker—and therefore also warmer—and, above all, quicker to knit than socks made from 4-ply
yarn. They are usually preferred for house and bed socks, slipper socks
or also for hiking in mountain boots. Men love socks like these in
work shoes.
Basically, this is a
sock-knitting course, shown in detail with pictures using children’s socks size 32/33.
All other sizes can be knitted according to the corresponding
chart information for 6-ply sock yarn .
Included in the download :
- PDF sock-knitting pattern—illustrated step by step (22 pages)
- Baby sock chart for 6-ply sock yarn, for newborns up to shoe size 20
- Sock chart for 6-ply sock yarn, children’s socks up to adult shoe size 47
We need
1 skein = 150 g (yardage approx. 420 m to 450 m) up to shoe size 44; 200 g–250
g from size 45 in a 6-ply sock yarn, here the especially
soft Christmas yarn color 02 “Mally Socks – Lungauer Sockenwolle” from
