If you’ve been strolling through the market, you may have noticed. Pumpkins are everywhere right now. I’m telling you, with sour cream and dill, they’re a real treat. But first, of course, you have to carry them home, and for that you need a shopping bag.
This one is knitted in an adorable onion pattern that’s stretchy. The bag can be tucked away easily, and when you go shopping, it has plenty of room inside. For this, you need cotton - thick or thin, it doesn’t matter, because both are included in the pattern.

You can find the bag here.

If you like things a bit more colorful and still want to carry home a pumpkin, here’s a colorful knitted shopping bag. The pattern is a simple slip-stitch pattern – it looks complicated, but it isn’t.

Here’s the pattern.

Fall is owl season…though for me, that applies all year round.
But this awesome Mochila bag with an owl motif is just perfect for fall.

It’s crocheted from cotton yarn with a length of 125 m per 50 grams. You’ll need 6 different colors.

Best to pick your favorite colors right away and get started....

This bag is a real eye-catcher. Classic and casual in shape, it goes with almost any outfit. Here, the color scheme makes it look rather elegant and classic. Of course, you can make it in any color combination imaginable and give it a completely different feel.

Combination of double stitch and tapestry technique:
With this special stitch (double stitch), it is possible to crochet in rounds
without a jog—making it especially well suited for
the tapestry technique. Beautiful, straight-running patterns can be
worked in.

Here’s the pattern

Required prior knowledge: chain stitch, slip stitch, single crochet

Double stitch and tapestry technique are explained in detail with pictures

Crochet Pattern: Drawstring Bag / Pouch

Here I have a drawstring bag for you.
It’s also casually referred to as a pouch.
But I think “pouch” is really a bit of an understatement for this bag.

The bag measures approximately 28 cm x 22 cm when finished.

The straps are long enough to wear the bag across your body. In this step-by-step pattern, I’ll explain how you can crochet this bag yourself. I’ve also included plenty of pictures so you can compare your results right away.

Materials
  • ONline Cora yarn NS 4.0-4.5 (approx. 220 g) in petrol
  • Crochet hook size 3.5 (or as desired)
  • Scissors
  • Sewing needle
  • 1 cord stopper / clasp
  • 8 markers
  • Tape measure
What you should already know
  • Chain stitches
  • Slip stitches
  • Single crochet
  • Half double crochet
  • Crocheting in rounds and rows

Crochet pattern for the colorful bag (quick and easy)

This great bag is beautifully striped. Perfect for a quick small shopping trip.
Maybe also nice for little girls to play with.
You can never have enough bags, right?
This bag is crocheted in one piece and then sewn together. Then just add the handles and it’s finished. So it’s quick and, above all, also quite sturdy in the end.

Contents of the pattern
  • Material information
  • small crochet tutorial
  • crocheting the basic bag
  • crocheting the handles
  • sewing together
  • step-by-step explanation
  • many pictures
This bag is crocheted “only” in single crochet stitches, so no complicated techniques. Definitely also well suited for beginners.

Material
  • ONline Linie 55 Montego (100 g/100 m yardage) color 35 52/23 and 46
  • crochet hook 6.0 (or as desired)
  • sewing needle/darning needle
  • scissors
