Dear users and authors,
mifas mentioned in the other thread that the wish list is always well-stocked.
So here’s my question for you:
How many patterns do you currently have on your wish list?
What’s stopping you from actually buying these patterns?
Have some of them become obsolete, or do you still want to buy them all?
Let me know what you think. :-)
I’ve also bought a lot of the patterns that used to be on my wish list. I can’t buy them all—I have to actually crochet or knit them at some point.
I do use them! Is there a limit?
I do want to buy the patterns at some point and then
crochet them,
but what’s holding me back at the moment is the fact that I already have so many
patterns that haven’t all been crocheted yet, and that buying
a new pattern also means buying new yarn.
Since I’m currently working through my yarn stash (I’m participating in the
“Wollkaiserin” project—I think that’s what it’s called), I don’t really want to buy any
new yarn right now.
@Heike,
the WollkaiserInnen project won’t last forever. You just have to hang in there until October 23 if you want the title. After that, you can go shopping again. :- )
I “only” have 19, but among the ones I’ve bought and the free patterns I’ve downloaded, there are plenty of patterns that are just begging to be worked on! It’s quite possible that I’ll end up buying one or two more patterns from my wish list later on. Actually, besides a yarn diet, I really also need a pattern diet!!!
Oh my gosh, right now I have 196 patterns on my wish list (including free ones).
Some I’ve already bought and crocheted, and others get added little by little. It just depends on when I feel like crocheting one thing or another. Right now I have several
projects that need to be finished first (as gifts or for coworkers).
I can’t do everything at once. I’m just like most people—the to-do list keeps getting longer. How am
I supposed to get through it all so quickly with all these great patterns here?
If I like something, I’ll bookmark it or order it right away and get started. It varies.
I have to use up my yarn stash somehow, after all. Actually, I still have the right yarn on hand for smaller projects
.
I used to always buy every pattern right away or download it for free, but then I never got around to making the project because I didn’t have the right yarn or something like that. Now I have 35 patterns on my wishlist that I’ll buy once I have the right yarn.
That way, I don’t lose track of them.
I currently have 22. They’re mostly sewing patterns that I really like. However, I just haven’t come across the perfect fabric for them yet, so they’re on hold.
But every time I go fabric shopping, I also browse my wish list to see if there’s a pattern that would work. Most of the time, though, my mind ends up wanting something else.
And I only buy a pattern when I plan to make something from it right away.
It’s a never-ending cycle, but every now and then something does end up in my shopping cart.
I have a suggestion... I think it would be great if I could add notes right next to the items on my wishlist. Is it possible to add something like that?
A while? Well, it’s probably not top priority right now (unless 100 more people chime in saying they absolutely need it too). But maybe it’s not such a huge effort after all, and we’ll get lucky and the programmers will add something pretty quickly. I’m hoping it won’t take long, but I won’t be checking in every two days ;-)
