Crochet Pattern for a Dirndl

Hi.
I bought the pattern for the dirndl and am currently struggling with the skirt...it says to crochet 1 single crochet and 1 chain stitch into each stitch of the previous round on the 2nd round. And then continue like that starting with the 3rd round, but it’s puckering like crazy, and I’ve already used up half the gray yarn (Schachenmayer Bravo)... and I’ve only managed to get the skirt to 3 cm in length....
Can someone please help me?

Which pattern are you working on? Have you contacted the author yet?

Dear Andrea,
The author herself can answer these questions best.
Why not send her a message with your question? She will surely be happy to help and knows the pattern best.

At the top left it says “Account”; open the menu and click on “Messages.”
Enter the shop name and send her a message with your questions (if you’re not familiar with this feature yet).

Have fun crocheting, and may the dirndl turn out well.

Best regards, Caro

Hi Andrea,
if you’re talking about the “Cute as a Button” dirndl (that one caught my eye because it’s gray), it looks from the pictures as though the single crochets are always worked into the chain stitches of the previous round. So basically: single crochet into the chain stitch, 1 chain stitch, skip the single crochet from the previous round, and single crochet into the next chain stitch. Could that be right?

Hi iglinz,

thank you so much for your reply! Yes, it’s exactly about the dirndl… I think it’s so cute… it’s for my niece.
Okay, then I’ll try it that way… I’ll let you know if it worked out.

Thanks;)

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it works out. If not, it’s my own fault!
