Hi everyone
, I just wanted to ask a question about baby items—there are plenty of them in the shop.
For those who buy baby items—and by the way, I’m not one of them—do you make these for yourself, as gifts, or just because they’re cute, and because things like baby booties are so fun to crochet and knit?
I mean, there aren’t that many babies, are there? Or is that why there are so many patterns for baby items—because the little ones grow so fast and outgrow their clothes?
Hi, I crochet a lot for my nephew, who’s now 1.5 years old, but I also crochet things like this as gifts—though rather rarely—since I don’t have that many friends who are having a baby, and that’s still years away anyway. My sister also crochets a lot for her children and for others, to give as birth gifts. She’s twice my age, after all, so she’s allowed to do that—grin. Hugs, Sassi
There are also people who collect dolls—for decoration, not for playing. Do you dress them in something special too, like baby clothes? Or is that not usually done?
Making clothes yourself for collector dolls that you make yourself—YES... If you make the doll yourself, that’s called reborning. The collector dolls you buy ready-made usually have their own personal outfit. I think they’re changed less often.
